(I watched the German version)

This is one of the 70´s style animes that has a very weird opening because some parts are drawn in a totally different and inferior way. Due to my degenerated sleeping pattern I always woke up just in time to watch it at 6AM. The funny thing about it was that the opening song was so catchy that I couldn´t get it out of my head for several hours.
I liked the Injun Joe arc very much. Before that arc the whole series seemed too loosely connected but that arc was very well written and because of it I hold the series in high regard.
Unfortunately I can´t compare the anime with other media of Tom & Huck. Yet I think that the other users have stated true things. I really liked the atmosphere in the town.
I recommend this series although you shouldn´t watch only one episode of it

This is basically a childhood anime and it was fun to watch back then. The story is pretty simple if you have read the novel, but of course they changed it a bit.
