| A lot of people complain about the dancing robot intro, but I personally think it is quite funny and original. The animation is amazing and the story keeps me wanting to watch more. The beginning story moves a little fast, but it does slow down and help the audience to understand the plot. I love all the characters in the show as well, they all have their own personality and grow as the story progresses. Overall, this serie is one of the best serie I have seen, and I highly recommend to all mecha and sci-fi fans. Definitely worth watching!

| IT'S A REVOLUTION! CRACK OUT THE MECHA AND LETS PARTY!

It is so hard to tell what should be said about King Gainer, especially after having watched only the first two episodes. That is more than enough for me. I have almost no idea what is going on, and for the most part I'm not given a reason to care.
If this really is a breakout by oppressed people, it is the strangest form of oppression I've ever seen: nobody seems particularly upset by the state they're in to begin with, and when people do start fighting, once the uprising is underway, it is done by a gaggle of characters whose motivations are unclear and whose role in the proceedings (and their allegiances) are equally muddied. In fact, why many of these characters are even involved in the first place (read: the Princess and her guardian) is a mystery to me.
Maybe they got bored, because the rapidity with which people break out their mechas and start laying in, once hostilities have begun, is truly amazing.
Maybe I will continue on with this show. Maybe. I was sufficiently intrigued by the first episode to go and seek out the second. The problem is, if you still don't know what a show is about after two episodes, do the creators?

| Though not a Vandread by any means, this anime is well worth watching. Understand my opinion is somewhat uneducated because there is only one episode released but this is what i got from that. the only thing that i really want to remark upon is the HORRENDOUS music this series has thus far. when the holo-idol Miiya sings, it sounds horrible, and the ending theme is atrocius.
...METARUU OUVAHMAAN KEEENG GAIINAAAA...
please, i couldn't stand to listen to it. hope this helps somewhat

| mecha serie based on people trying to flee from a place where they're exploited doing the 'exodus', helped by a soldier of fortune, Gain, and a mecha game freak (rolled against his will), Gainer.
I admit starting this anime is kinda hard. The two first ep are just a total mess, dealing with a strange battle you that you can't get a thing, filled with snow fall (painfull to watch) and total dissmissed fight. And you also have to survive the op theme though.... Then starting with ep 3 the plot takes place, pretty simple but efficiant, and bring lot of good and original fight scene, adding a well shaped character dev and coherante story line, so don't give up after 10 min in the first ep.
Then I like the animation, music has nothin particular, apart the op theme which really weird.
The whole show is really enjoyable IMO. Then it's up to you to go through the 2 first ep...

| Overall it's a pretty good mecha serie. And DONT! give up after the 2 first episodes, it gets better later. I promise you. GREAT wacky intro.

| Another good show from Yoshiyuki Tomino. A bit like Turn A Gundam in several ways. Dont listen to the person saying that it has no style or that FMP ha more substance.
