| UFO Princess Valkyrie is about a princess from the planet Valhalla who flees her home planet to avoid an arranged marriage. She crashes her spaceship into a bathhouse in Japan. The owner, Kazuho, was struggling to keep the place open. His friend kept suggesting that he sell the place and take his losses.
Walkyurie gives Kazuho a part of her soul to keep him from dying. This turns her into an 8-year-old girl who must kiss Kazuho to restore her to adulthood.

| This anime is very cute and can be great fun to watch. Be warned, it doesn't go too fast and isn't really anthing special, but put that aside and it can be very enjoyable.
It has very little merit to it in terms of story, animation, or characters. But I give it top marks on hummor. Most every episode something crazy happened and it was fun to see. I found it to be an easy series to watch after chugging a few beers. It would also be a good one to show to kids. Overall, its great as long as you're not devoting too much brainpower to it at the time.

| This isn't a very good anime, but nor is it bad. It is light hearted and fun but doesn't strive to have much in the way of a plot. In many ways the genre seems to be rather confused. Is it a romantic humor geared towards young girls, or is an ecchi humor geared towards otaku boys? Story wise it seems more geared towards girls. However, the ample cleavage and nipple outlines showing through clothing would be of little interest to said girls.
That aside it is a fun anime for the younger crowd and even though on the surface it would seem in the Sailor Moon category it has a slightly stronger plot direction. Given this I won't give it a great rating, but nor will I tear it to shreds. An average anime.

| Fun and lighthearted all around. UFO Princess Valkyrie takes another stab at the shounen harem genre and does pretty well at that. The story isnt terrific nor are the characters ground breaking, but they're fun and suit their roles well. This is a good series to "teak a break from everything" with. Cute characters, fanservice, and comedy await.

| Well, this sure is a shounen anime made from the same old and standard furmula. It offers nothing new, however, who minds to see some more really cute bishoujos, and have some good laughs and fan service? There are so many stories similar to this, to the extend that you know the ending from epi1. But it is still quite enjoyable, through the progress, where you heart is just being carried away by the little kawaii princess and all the ridiculous ruckus they go through. So just dont be too serious and expecting too much from this series, it is never meant to break the bottle neck of shounen anime, it just tries to be, something entertaining.

| Overall this is quite an enjoyable series. There is no story except for the last two episodes, but that is not the point of this anime. This is a typical romance comedy in that it is cheerful, cute (Waru-chan!), and has a somewhat predictable (the first part anyway) ending that is not badly done.
Cons: The ecchiness of the series is badly overdone, and the transformation scenes are horrible as well. Really... why couldn't they make it shorter and less ecchi or take the scene out altogether?!
Recommended, though keep in mind that it might bore in the middle, unless, (like me,) you can't get enough of Waru's cuteness.

| With a story that would be halfass if not for quality enjoyment this anime I found much joy in watching. it has many comedic scenes that kept me smiling and lots of nekked ladies which is nothing bad if not to gain more audience in sex appeal which in turn becomes lame.
That aside its a fun little series with lots of laughs and some good action bits filled in. The using of shots over and over is pretty bad and the transformations are very sailormoonish (loooooooooong filler transformations)well at least the whole "We fight for justice and love" dribble is left out thankfully. The story gets better at the end when things start to take shape between the main characters and story. overall its a fun anime series that everybody should watch (putting aside the lame attempts)

| Lighthearted comedy anime with sci-fi and ecchi elements. Seriously, its sometimes difficult to see which audience the makers are aiming at. At one hand its childish and cute, at the other hand it has alot of fanservice and nudity. My impression when i first saw Valkyries transformation was quite mixed, thought coming to mind: Pedophilia warning.
Nevertheless, these elements aside its a quite alright anime. Nothing that fancy in any aspect except for its cuteness.
Its for granted that there are better animes out there, but there are alot of worse ones too. Give it shot, you might like it.

| Perhaps not the best there is, but very enjoyable overall. One of those lighthearted series you could fall in love with if you can neglect apparent lack of story, though tis quite common among other series of same genre. After all it was meant to be a romantic comedy, not some mind-boggling series like eva.
Getting down to the brass tacks, characters are as kawaii as they can be, a must see if you are into cute stuff. I find it hard to believe voice acting for waruchan was done by ogata megumi - the same actress who did shinji in eva O_O
If you find waruchan annoying, then why would you be watchin this series anyway. Move on and find yourself something else to chew on >:(
Artwork is a ok, bgms are pretty good and ED theme really rocks.

| This anime is a lighthearted Sci-Fi Comedy with a small bit of fanservice, and a few cliche's, but nothing to get your pantaloons in a twist about. It lacks a bit in story, but it makes it up in quite interesting characters.

| This series has some serious problems. It tries to be a some sort of a comedy, but there is nothing to laugh about. The times a thought there was something funny going on can be counted with two hands.
There's also no story going on so I'm a bit confused. If all the series has to offer are occasional shots of bare breasts and cute (and annoying) characters, shouldn't you just do a hentai flick? Honestly, the transformation sequences suck too. Good stuff is the animation and the ex-space-pirate dog and that's not too much. Might as well sleep than watch this.

| When Sailormoon, Dragon Ball, and nudity come together what do they become? No, not Sailormoon and the 7 balls, but a cheesy anime that has a girl that turns into a super girl with powers like Dragon Ball characters. There's not much of a story so far in the few episodes I've seen and I probably won't go on watching this, but the rest of the anime scores pretty decent for something that's kind of a rip-off of DBZ/SM. Enjoyment comes from watching Valkyrie transform.

| I watched Valkyrie from the beginning to the end in a one session, and the whole time I was waiting that when will the comedy begin, and I am still waiting. I didn't really get this one, I guess it was alright, but seriously if it was a comedy, it had to be in the subtext or something, as I didn't even find myself smiling even for once during the show.
Nothing bad, nor nothing good about it. Pretty neutral material, if you've got nothing else to do, and this is the only anime you can get your hands on, then perhaps you might wanna dig into it, otherwise ignore this title. And the second season of Valkyrie seems like it's the same material as the first one, so no high expectations for that one either.
Oh and if there was a story in this one, I sure missed it as well...

| Good God this is really cute!! And yet they managed to but quite a liberal dose of fan service in there at the same time. I think they should stick to one or the other, the two don't complement. It's pretty funny, though kissing a seven year old almost every episode . . . I think they could've come up with something (ANYTHING) less distrubing than that. Overall, a funny series though nothing special.

| OK...for the child love part and kissing a child....that's a bit too far. But it is a funny anime. Really funny at time.
The character are well drawn. no comments. The animation was pretty good but the songs were a bit crappy.
It's a good anime to relax and laugh.
I liked it for its comedy side. Thats all.
But watch at least three or four eps because the first one is a bit confusing. eps 2 really tell the start of the story not eps 1.

| This anime has good art, but get deducted points for repetitive scenes like "transformation" and "bathhouse" scenese. Sound is ok, story is a little big disappointing. Character are nice design and I like the older version of ALL. They keep on making girls smaller so that the RORICONS will buy them. I did enjoy watching this series somewhat. But I cant go through all of them at once, because the story line never really develops and so does the characters.

| I don't know why so many people complain about this anime. I guess most of them can't accept the alien people walking around bath-house and the stupid aircraft that alway crash in the middle of house. But really, it not that bad, the animation itself was cute and the plot can be acceptable(if you have fantasy thought). Only thing that annoying me is the echii stuff, I don't know why they need to put this echii sh*t in this series, it will be A LOT better and I doubt more people will like this anime like I did(Did I?)

| Good grief, the fine line between fan service and hentai is getting thinner by the day. Yes, it's a cute story about a age-changing princess and your typical kind-hearted lead male, but was all the bathhouse and mahou-shojo transformation nudity really necessary? Well, I guess the demand for ecchi anime is too profitable for producers to ignore.
UFO Princess had its funny moments and *could* have been something fun and light for a younger audience. The generous helping of nudity totally cancels that idea out of course, leaving the ecchi-craving otakus as the only target demographic for this series.

| UFO Princess Walkure is every bit as strange as the title would suggest--it starts out with a throughly confusing first episode, then backs up in the second episode to explain why things are the way they are. UFO Princess is set at some indeterminate point in the future, where Kazuto is doing his best to keep an old-fashioned bathhouse going, even though his parents (who are somewhere else) and his sister think he's nuts for trying. Things get complicated when Princess Walkure (adult version) decides to leave planet Valhalla to escape an arranged marriage--and ends up crashing into the bath house and killing Kazuto. This would be a very short series if she didn't bring him back to life, which she does, a la Ruri in Tokyo Underground. Although there's a catch--Walkure gives Kazuto half his soul, but the process of doing so makes her revert to being (and acting) like a little kid. Then there's Kazuto's childhood friend, Akina--she likes Kazuto, but hasn't gotten up the nerve to tell him, and now Walkure is hanging onto him constantly.
It makes for an odd love triangle--Walkure likes Kazuto, who may like her back (her adult form at least, otherwise this would go somewhere it really shouldn't), but Kazuto's childhood friend Akina (who's also a miko) likes him too. The strangeness of having a 5-year old Walkure hanging around Kazuto and talking about how they'll be together forever keeps this show from being as good as it could be. In spots it almost reminds me of Urusei Yatsura, especially the procession of aliens coming to make trouble for the recurring cast. One of the recurring alien characters is Sanada-san, the "cat-eared chief of maids", who is definitely my favorite character--she's loyal to Hime-sama (Walkure) to the point of fanaticism. Unlike Urusei Yatsura, though, there's a LOT of fanservice in UFO Princess.
Overall, this show's occasionally funny, but could have been much better--as it is, it's still entertaining when you want to watch something that reaches UY-level weirdness. The opening and ending songs are both good, the ending song in particular is really catchy.

| Not very impressive overall. Storyline is rather bland and generic and relies too heavily on fan service in attempt please viewers. Also, the series was way to mellowdramatic at times (but, hey, what anime isn't?). On the plus side, the characters are halfway interesting and the animation is decent.
