| Ok, just done watching 4 ova ep. I watched scramble series b4 so this is totally duplicated.
This one is good on slapstick comedy, and they got a little touching friendship part at ep.3. Can you believe they acutally let someone die? Eventhou she is not a real main chars. but still, I guess they really want to push this forward and be like other lame useless cop comedy.
The end leave a big hole for the sequal so I'm gonna check Burn-Up Excess later. I hope it the sequal and not just another recycle copies ripp off from original plot.

| Burn Up W, can be grouped with anime like Agent Aika and Labirinth of Flames. Meaning it's main purpose is to show a bunch of women with big breasts wearing tight suits that convenientely show everything there is to show about the female body.
Well, I'm going to try to be brief: there is nothing that can make me recommend this; the story is poor, undeveloped, the characters are silly, the sound and the animation are mediocre. I wouldn't even care much about the fact that this is pure fan service if it had some kind of story... but then again, why call it fan service if it had a plot? (never saw fan service and decent story together...:p)
So, here's the message I am trying to pass: NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. As simple as this. Burn Up W sucks. Unless, you'd like to drool over anime girls with tight coloured cat-suits.

| HUH ? I can't believe people don't appreciate this finely tuned little anime ! I'm SHOCKED !
With just 4 episodes, this has plenty of character development to realise how zany and likeable these people are. No, it doesn't contain any hidden meanings or thought provoking storytelling - but it does have some great moments.
Basic premise is about a group of 4 girls and one guy who are part of a secret side to the police force called "Warrior". When things call for something a little more that the regular police can't handle, they are called upon from their hum-drum desk jobs.
Fan service a plenty - but it really adds to the comedic moments, which are never sexist to its full extent. If anything, it makes men look stupid and brainless.
Once you watch this - go and view the sequal series "Burn Up Excess". The same characters are in it with some new additions, and its funnier and more detailed that this one.
This is a GOOD, SOLID anime ! Please give it a shot. It deserves so much more than what its getting credit for.

| Burn Up Warrior is one of the first anime's I watched. It is you're basic action/comedy. Unfortunatly despite the fact that I really used to like this show I must say I have seen MANY better shows. This show basically is about a special Police force. However the show has more focus on the girls (which I really had no problem with) and lacks a real coherent story due to it's short length. If you want to know more keep reading.

| Burn Up W is of course for the people who loves to see hot anime chicks. That is why the animation is the biggest thing in this review. Bouncy and boing. One of the battle theme is pretty good and the opening theme isn't bad too. Burn Up W is intended for the perverted. But there is more to this review if you want to keep reading.

| An OK series with a lot of fanservice. I don't have much to say as this series doesn't have too much content but it concentrates on entertaining with bare skin. The worst part was that the DVD didn't have anything but the English dub, which is quite horrible.
In the end it wasn't a painful series to see, just mediocre. With the original dub, I might have given some better scores.

| A flashy and occasionally very funny short OVA with plenty of fan-service - and very little "real" content.
Animation is plain and thrifty, almost crude, but at least very colorful. The characters are pretty simple (and unnaturally proportioned), yet likable with all their enthusiasm and they make the show much more fun to watch than your average fan-service clip.
There's very little overall story in Burn Up W and the first two episodes are very self-contained in all their light-hearted humour. The latter two take a sudden change towards more serious and dark tones - it's too bad the contrast here works against the overall mood of the show and the last two episodes really fail IMHO. It seems the makers of the follow-up series Burn Up Excess agree with me, as that series concentrates mainly on the funny (and ecchi) side of Burn Up.
NOTE: There's a load of dub-only DVD-releases of this anime, where there's no original Japanese voice-track at all - avoid these at all cost, as the English voice-acting is typically very poor. ADV has released an edition with the far superior original voice-track intact.

| This OVA is so painfully underrated. Burn Up! has actually been one of my favorite OVAs for quite some time. It's loaded with action, adventure, likable characters, comedy, and tons of fan service... what more can a guy ask for?
Rio is still one of my favorite anime girls. You've got to love the uniform. Her hair style alone is just stunning, but with the gloves, stockings, and attitude... she's one amazing character.
Honestly I don't see how anyone could have a beef with this OVA. Each episode has an entertaining plot, the story is rather deep despite the fact it's a OVA, and have I mentioned the girls yet? There's just the right amount of action and story to keep things both exciting and interesting at the same time.
Visually, each of the characters animate with a smooth flow and the colors are all crisp and clear. The fan service ranges from well timed to funny, and it's all well drawn. It does include some brief nudity scenes as well. The Japanese voice acting and music are all very enjoyable. If you like the 'special agent' type of animes, check this one out without delay. It's more than just forgettable OVA fluff.

| Einer der vielen Girls 'n' Guns Animes die hauptsächlich auf Fanservice und gut gebaute Frauenkörper setzen und dafür die Story sowie die Entwicklung der Figuren vernachlässigen. Burn Up W ist in fast allen Bereichen nicht mehr als unteres Mittelmaß und dieses OVA bietet selbst in der Kategorie Action nur durchschnittliches. Ich hatte wenigstens auf ein paar nette Gunfights gehofft aber das Ergebnis das BUW vorlegt ist mehr als enttäuschend. Wer sich wundert warum am Ende dieses OVAs soviel offen bleibt sollte wissen das diese 4 Episoden nur der Vorreiter für die TV Serie Burn Up Excess sind die damals ein paar Monate später ausgestrahlt wurde. Bei mir zumindest hat es keine Interesse an der Serie geweckt und ich habe auch nicht den geringsten Ansporn mir diese anzusehen, dafür ist die Story einfach zu durchsichtig und unoriginell. Nicht mal der Fanservice ist es wert sich dieses OVA anzuschauen und das ist ein Armutszeugnis an sich...

| Thisone has positivly the WORST voiceacting in history (english). The story is just stupid and the characters dumb. It is quite ecchi, but I don't realy think that counts as a plus... The animation is ok, it doesn't offer anything extra but its quite ok. Except the fact that the people that drew it has probably never seen a naked woman... but perhaps that was the point of drawing like this.

| Hmm.. Where to start. Burn Up W is pretty much about one thing: fanservice. It's pretty hard to worry about things like story and character development when the main female characters are either A) getting naked B) half-naked C)in some type of body tight clothing that shows off their massive breasts. So what's the show about? Girls with massive breasts and guns. Though I do remember it trying to slip some form of plot in there that was incomplete.. Yep, breasts and guns. That's what it's about. Unless you're a fanservice junky like myself, you best stay far away from this title.

| Women with bouncing breasts and huge guns. You get the idea and what kind of ecchi humor this anime presents, but it doesn't pretend to be anything else. The animation is okay, and so are the characters, the characters designs are nothing to take home(except if your a ecchi drooling fanboy).
Then they poke fun(which ecchi/hentai shows usually do) at their own plot in the first episode.
This anime actually did give you some levels of reality with casualties dying and how it effects them. Isn't one of the best OVA, but okay enough not to be sleazy trash.
