| OK, so without any knowledge of the manga, this does seem to be nothing but a waste of space, but it's still quite cute ^__^
I'd wanted to see this for a very long time, but given that I already knew it was 10 minutes long, I wasn't disappointed with what I was dished up. It would have been nicer to have made a slightly longer OVA of one of the more interesting tales from the manga, but Chocola is cute, the ruffians and the King are as random as you're gonna get and it made me laugh. Plus being a fan of Arina Tanemura's character design, I was happy to just see a few of the characters from TSK brought to life in this.
The animation is of the same quality as KKJ and I don't suppose it was deemed necessary to spend excessive amounts of money in creating this, so you don't get OVA quality.
The music was pretty pants, sounded like something from an RPG (and not a good RPG at that!). The voices were good though.
Overall a nice little animated snippet of TSK manga and knowledge of said story is a must to enjoy this - which I did! Won't watch it again though, but glad I finally got to see it!

| I make a point not to read any reviews for anything I'm going to review, but judging from the current 5.1/10 on this site, I'm think I speak for myself when I say this was really good. IMHO, it was better than the other Arina Tanemura one-shot OAV "Good Morning Call" at least. At least this featured a story that didn't drop the viewer head-first into a story that had already started. Granted, this short OAV obviously didn't start at the beginning of the story either, but it focused on something very small in scale (a squabble between the King and his android) as opposed to GMC's dull love story.
Another reason I liked this is becuase it offered quite a few laughs. It is certainly a weird setting (it looks like a old European setting, but there are androids? Yeeeah...), but this is only 10 minutes long, and it's not painful to sit through. You'll probably find yourself smiling, but you probably won't admit it.

| Funny, and Pointless . It's hard to review this title.
I would not Recomend it to anyone, Except if you don't have NOTHING better to watch, OR your'e with friends and can watch it, And you don't have NOTHING better to do.

| I'm surprised this OVA is included in the database and not the original manga. The manga was an interesting read keeping the atmospehere of KKJ and FMS. this short clip should only be accompanied in a VCD with every purchase of the manga.
It is only interesting in one thing. It makes the characters of the manga alive.
As a manga advertisement this would work quite well, but as an independent 9 minute feature? No chance at all...If you havent read the manga ignore this at all costs. doesnt matter to download it though...

| I don't understand, how can anyone think something good will come out of a 9 minute episode. This OVA is another good example... it felt like seeing Good Morning Call all over again. Time Stranger Kyoko is... well... bad.
First of all, and like most OVAs with such short duration, the story is bad developed; it all happens so very fast, the scenes, sometimes, do not look related and well, there's no background story or information on any of the characters (except Chocola). The story itself, is a bit annoying and certainly not very imaginative.
Second, why is this OVA entitled 'Time Stranger Kyoko'? I mean, Kyoko the princess, appears like twice during the entire 9 minutes of the story... it isn't even her story... the story is about Chocola, the little king's android.
Thirdly... the quality of the animation is poor for a 2000 anime. While Chocola is very cute, the character designs are not very good. The music is mediocre and it seems no-one really cared much about this department.
Well, for being so short, I guess this OVA could have been worse... but it really isn't worth watching... you'll have little enjoyment, because this simply isn't very good...

| Hach ja, ich frage mich warum ich mir diese kurzen Sidestory OVAs zu irgendwelchen Mangas eigentlich anschaue. Es ist sowieso immer das selbe: Ich habe den Manga nie gelesen, weiß nichts über die Handlung, nichts über die Charaktere und somit ist es schon von vorne herein klar das jede Art von Unterhaltung komplett auf der Strecke bleibt, zumal diese OVA unheimlich kurz geraten und vom Inhalt her einfach nur schwach ist. Es dreht sich alles um einen kleinen weiblichen Hausrobotor mit Katzenpfötchen der sich gekränkt fühlt und von zu Hause weg läuft. So kann man die komplette OVA kurz zusammen fassen denn mehr ist da nicht. Chocola mag zwar recht knuffig sein aber das alleine ist für mich absolut unzureichend. Ich gehöre nicht zu den Leuten denen es genügt 11 Minuten lang eine knuddelige Figur zu Gesicht zu kriegen und die ständig "Oooch wie süüüß" rufen... Ohne Vorwissen wird man hier nicht viel ernten außer ein paar Minuten Langeweile. Fazit: Einmal mehr eine OVA die für Nicht-Kenner des Mangas uninteressant und überflüssig ist.

| Why does everyone hate this so much? I loved it! Chokora is so kawaii, and her seiyuu makes it all the better. The animation is low budget but has nice bright colors, and the characters are cute and irresistebile. This makes me want to see/read more of Arina's works.

| Normal review is unnecessary, as the whole thing is under ten minutes long. Overall cute, silly, entertaining little vid. Even for a person like me who knows nothing about the manga this is based on, it was an amusing way to spend ten minutes.
