| I'd characterize emulators as the fourth volume of Alien 9, since the story continues with the 3 Alien Fighters entering Junior High School. There they meet another Alien Fighter and the problems with the pestering aliens that supposedly stopped in volume 3, still continue here. Except that this time the manga reaches a conclusion and there's also an explanation about what happened in the first volume, plus some omakes and an additional chapter regarding alien hunting in volume 1.
The ending is representative of the disturbing nature of the previous volumes and some of the characters undergo permanent changes to their personality.
There's some splatter and some more background info of the characters.
Overall though the manga leaves the reader to think for him/herself about the story and it doesnt guide the readers.
If you've read the first 3 volumes this is a must-read too. If not, why should you buy it?]
Looking forward to read the mangaka's other sci-fi work ''Milk Closet''
