| This is the BEST out of ALL the digimon!! - I don't care if you think i'm wrong! Okay - Heres why..
The animation - Alright, you can't deny that the animation has improved ALOT. It is very smooth! And the evolution scenes have some 3-D effect - not alot, but it adds a nice touch.
Sound - It was okay...Not bad, not good, just average.
Story - Right! This gets a 10/10! The story starts off in a rush, then slows down and then is a normal anime speed - But most storys have a quick begaining, a long middle, and an average ending ^^ The actuall story though - Its quite entertaining! You have to see it to belive it - that means watch the episode - not read a summary, summarys are usually changed due to the persons opinions.
Character - Okay, this is the only down-side. The characters each have thier own personality - but its basicly the same as season one...
Leader - Tai/Takuya/Takato
Lone Wolf - Matt/Koji/Henry
Tom-girl - Sora/Zoe/Rika
Crybaby at first - T.K/Tommy
This is the only downside in my opinion ^^
Value/Enjoyment - Overall - everything combines to make A VERY good story, I highly recomend it.
I recomend it to kids, teens.
oh - and some (Not most) adults may like it.

| i've read all of the reviews below and i think mine is the best overall summary:
this is a love or hate situation, because lets get it straight (in my case hate). digimon 04 takes a HUGE turn. and i thought tamers (03) was taking a huge turn with the cards. the thing with tamers though is i fell in love with it very quickly. takato, reika, renamon, henry, etc. i was irked a little by guilmon but i grew to like him as well. and the cards started becoming cool very soon.
digimon 04 is brave, and lets just say, not smart, with its change. guess what? no more DIGIMON PARTNERS. lets face it: digimon is ALL ABOUT the relationship between the digimon and their partners.
digimon frontier reminds me of power rangers: the music is a horrible downturn from the tamers (the series is no longer done by fox, which i thought did a good job). also, its MUCH more childish. the evolution of season 02 to season 03 (tamers) was a higher level of maturity. more adultish themes, more serious events, and a darker tone that had me very impressed. digimon frontier reverses all that by sending childish annoying characters into the digital world to evolve tHEMSELVES without a partner. power rangers anyone? yup
sadly, frontier had potential. it had very nice animation, and i really like how the characters looked. but lets get it striaght; if there are no digimon to evolve, its just an animated power rangers series. not only that, but the characters had horrible personalities. the kiddyness made it feel like i was watching 'totoro's great adventures' instead of digimon.
tamers marked the end (and thankfully a good series) of digimon. i just coudln't believe my eyes when i saw how much frontier went downhill. even though digimon is supposed to be 'kiddish', since tamers was so good, theres no excuse
sum down: fans of the older digimon series (1-3) will probably react negatively towards this, and puke. ONLY watch if you ARENT a hardcore digimon fan. if you like the oldskool way (true fan), digimon tamers is right for you, as it OWNS frontier in everywhere possible except animation quality.

| Digimon Frontier followed Season Two's footsteps and failed. What are these failing footsteps? They are: insanely stupid new Evolutions (with a overly detailed Digivice to match); and unlikable characters.

| OK, Forget the fact that this is Digimon! To call it Digimon is kinda an insult to what I found a very entertaining series! When this first turned up on TV I thought..."Oh, no, not another Digimon series"...But I was wrong! The start seemed like any other Digimon series...except with the Digi-Destined becoming Digimon instead of having a partner Digimon..which at first I thought was stupid. But it turned out to be really cool! Story wrapped me in in more closely and I had a blast watching this!!!!
I don't care what anyone says! This is the best series of Digimon! Because quite frankly, it isn't Digimon...it's actually good!

| The WORST of the "Digimon" series. This doesn't follow the conventional storyline and the so-called "Chosen Children" don't even have a Digimon partner. Sure, they become the Digimon, but that just LOSES points in my book. Any true "Digimon" fan will hate this series about as much as I did. The ONLY redeeming quality of this series is the better animation. But aside from that, the series is a complete waste of time.

| Digimon zum 4. Und auch diesesmal bleibt die Story dieselbe und auch hier haben sich wieder ein paar Kinder in die ominöse Digiwelt verirrt und sind natürlich die letzte Hoffung aller Digimon die von einem großen fiesen Digimon unterdrückt und bedroht werden. Ach das kommt euch bekannt vor? In welcher Staffel hatten wir diesen Plot denn schon...? Ach ja in ALLEN vorangegangenen. Was neu ist sind die Shonen-Anime Elemente die dadurch eintreten das die Kids nun selbst zu Digimon werden können und dann den ein oder anderen Hand-to-Hand-Combat zu führen haben. Etwas positives? Mal sehen...ich finde einige der japanischen Songs richtig gut aber das wars dann auch schon. Für Kinder ist diese Serie ganz sicher sehr unterhaltsam aber in meinen Augen nach wie vor Digi-Trash. Jetzt wo Yu-Gi-Oh die Kommerzmacht an sich gerissen hat, hat Digimon sowieso genauso wie PKMN ausgespielt und die Kids kloppen sich heutzutage lieber um Monsterkarten anstatt sich die 4. Staffel einer Serie anzuschauen die längst zum alten Eisen gehört und niemanden mehr hinter dem Ofen hervorlockt.

| The is pobably the better one out of the 4 seasons of digimon.
The drawing has improve alot if you compare it with the pervious seasons. The storyline did change for the better, but the main plot of this season is still the same as all the other seasons! Well, it is a kid show that targets kids from 6-14 so they will buy their toys and stuff. Another Money Milking anime, but just not as bad as Beyblade / Yugioh / Pokemon.
Overall, this isn't bad, but not that good either. A fair anime in the U.S. since we can't show anything good without getting censred really bad anyways. =/

digimon has been the same plotless, stupid show since the first season.
The story is always the same. "Save the digital world". the show focuses on fighting so there is no room for plot or charectar devlopment. Like one time, an evil digimon appeared and before the "digi-destined" were even introduced to the creature, they were already thinking about how to beat it.
Im getting sick of these kiddy, mainstream animes. Digimon should have died a long time ago. And if it has to stay around, could they at least change that sh1tty theme song?

| It had a good start off. Another thing totally new. The characters become Digimon themselves. I liked. But as the series went on, it just got too stupid.

| Edited after finally seeing the first episodes from only seeing the middle to the end:
I'll say, I'm not a digimon fan.
The voices sound bad. Like you got people doing vocal impressions of Elvis and bad British accents put into the mix.
The bad guys still have deep demonic voices, the heroes sound cheerful while the side characters have silly, annoying voices. Still has over the top exaggeration that is bad like the other seasons but isn't too much of a bother
But as far as stories go, maybe the darkest of the Digimon shows and the most original.
People, its a kids show. Live with it.
Just because this "digi" stuff appeared just to compete with Pokemon doesn't mean its completely bad.

| The only reason digimon is up here is because fox didn't pick it up and everone has to wait for the series to run on upn or abc family. The animation is okay but what ticks me off is that these guys who make the digimon series don't get some new character formats. There is always a gung ho guy, a loner, and a ditzy girl. I like digimon and season 3 of digimon was the best i've seen. The creators try to make a jump and try not to bore people by having the children digivolve but they're really pushing it. Overall if you like the series watch it. If you a hardcore anime fan avoid it.

| One of the reasons I like Frontier is probably because I'm a fan of the series. Casual viewers might think it's kiddie, and that's only because it is. It is made up for, however. The animation runs extremely smooth, and the evolution sequences have a tinge of computer generater art. The story is one of the best yet, because unlike in the first or second seasons, they actually have a real purpose for going to the digital world.
