| This was my first time seeing anything related to Saiyuki. I didn't particularly care for the story which was entirely too confusing and ultimately a typical series of anime events without any rhyme or reason. And since I was unfamiliar with the characters, the fact that they were virtually undeveloped kept me from really caring about them. Still, I have no doubt that a fan of Saiyuki would enjoy this well animated movie.

| Nothing change from the TV series.
Animation is the same, althou this one come with widescreen. Audio are ok? maybe? well atleast they didn't change anything from tv series. Story is pretty respectable from these kind of genes. I gave characters 9 since the evil boss in this story has something to do with Sanzo's past, but still they never show him before in the series that's mean they just made him up out of thin air. But still, they do all the characters background reviews very well, not too annoy like other series and gave up enough info to flashback if you got a short memeory. Movie, Tv, OAV whatever it is... It's still the same.

| The story is not very special and it does look like another episode of the series. Here again, we see the pasts of the boys which are already shown a few times in the series. We also see Kougaiji's team and they do look a bit extra in the movie. Anyway, the good thing of the movie is that it does have some nice graphic effects, a funny ending and a good ending theme. Still a not bad one and jus love all the cool action.

| As a person familiar with the TV series, I found this movie a great addition to the story. It's like a long episode with some nice effects.

| I haven't watched the series so I didn't have any preliminary feelings when I saw the film, but I didn't know anything about the background of the series as well...
I can say I liked this film, but not that I loved it.
