| what about that bungled moral they always tell in one piece. dont you think it is crap to tell a little boy he should risk his life to have a future. just be a kid!!! you can risk you life when you are grown up as many times as you want but i really dont enjoy watching kids getting shot. and then the little boys is proud because he had a metal plat under his shirt. god damn, and if you were shot in the head. except that one piece movie 2 is nothing out of the ordinary. many violent fighting scenes with funny moments including luffys stupidity. overall i have to say i was a bit shocked about the unnecessary violence and the glorification of it. best way is to avoid conflicts by using your brain not to kill yourself needlessly. i know in some situations it is not possible and that fighting scenes are somehow necessary to attract people but this way of showing it is the worst.

| This is what I've been waiting for! One Piece with stunning animation ^__^
As spin-off movies go, this is fantastic; it's filled with exhillerating butt-kicking action, tons of laughs and a decent storyline.
It was almost like watching a whole arc of the series condensed into 55 minutes!
Highly recommended to all One Piece fans, but like most anime spin-off movies, it isn't really a stand alone.

| You can't expect much out of an anime movie, especially one coming from a shounen series such as One Piece. Like the huge amount of Dragonball Z movies that stack up to short anime series alone, the movie is contained with a ton of fighting, with little character development that forces you to rely on your knowledge of the anime. Though I guess for One Piece fans, it's a decent treat. The story revolves around the Straw Hat Pirates getting their ship stolen by someone annonymous. They travel towards However, the ones occupying it are pretty strong, and not to mention, they're pirates who took over the town as well. They also have in their possession a key that keeps together the whole island from standing. What could be done?
First off, I'd love to say that the animation has vastly improved over the first movies. The animation is much more vivid and fluid. However, I've never been a fan of the animation of One Piece in the first place, and wished that it would drastically improve later on in the series. The models if you ask me, are quite dull. There's much more room for improvement. And the fights aren't really exciting, aside from the trio's usual dose of knocking generic pirates out of their way. The music, well, it's as good as ever. And the story, well, aside from a tiny tiny twist near the middle, isn't very sophisticated. Aside from giving my opinion of the movie, there isn't much for me to say about this movie, except it's a good watch for fans of the anime.

| The first thing that pops into my mind when I think about this One PIece movie is how dumb the villains are. They each ate their own version of the Devil Fruit, of course, but jeez.... one that smells like a skunk, one that is just some big fat bear like thing, and others that I dont even bother remembering.
Other than that, it is very similar to the one piece series. The animation is the same, nothing that special.
Story is plain, nothing that great,and as usual, there is the character 'kid with a dream' and so on and so forth dealing with adventures on the open sea.
IN terms of One Piece typical humor, this movie has that, a few parts make you laugh because of the silliness of the villains, but that's about as good as it gets.
Overall, this is just barely a mediocre movie in light of the one piece series and other movies.
I haven't seen the first One Piece movie, but I watched the 3rd , 4th, and 5th before I watched this one.

| This movie is way better than the first one, I do recommend this one if you're an One Piece fan. The humor is good here, you can just expect from the serie it self. The animation is lots better than the first one and the serie it self. The fighting scenes was a bit short, the it was full of intension. Just look at Sanji, the kick moves were just too lovely to see. The powers form the villians were awesome, some was a bit dissapointing, you thought to expect more from it, but it's okey. The sound was just like normale.
Just watch it.

| In comparison to the first One Piece Movie, this one was done a LOT better. Still no where near a great deal of the quality in the series, though.
Here we go! The animation is finally looking like an actual MOVIE. Good cinema quality. Action scenes are also well done.
The sound is also a little improved in my opinion. ED song was alright.
The story is definately more interesting than One Piece Movie 1, but I would have liked to see more history of clockwork island. Basically a rescue mission, but the better characters this time around make this part more enjoyable.
The characters were also more well done in this movie than the last. The villains were better as well (the Devils Fruits were more realistic than that sound scream fruit from the first movie).
Overall, If you had to choose between the One Piece movies out there right now, I would definitely reccommend this one over others. It was enjoyable, and I've already seen it more than once.

| This is a massive improvement from the first movie. Actually adding characterization and plot nuances, the story benefits. Adding Sanji is like fucking icing on the cake.
Seriously, I don't understand how this story could have survived without Sanji. He KICKS(literally, duh) so much ass here that Zoro, Luffy, Nami, and Usopp are practically sitting on the side-lines when his moment of glory comes. The villans are nice here(it was funny to see the same henchmen from the first one) and the island was very impressively imaginative. Still, condensing the flavor of the One Piece story slightly hurts it, but the movie prevails.

| Unlike the first movie which is hideous the second moive is actually a very enjoyable watch.
Animation: The animations good... however the art is still One Piece. So 7.
Sound: Is good, features slightly longer ending song, and a musical pre-movie "appetizer". So 9.
Story: Creative One Piece story tackled in the space of 2 episodes. Not the best we've seen so far, & there wasnt enough time to develope it. They borught in for a movie AGAIN a kid and a man... now im not sure what special about this... but im not going to take any score off because im sure ill find out (atm if i had to give an answer it would be lazyness). So 9.
Character: One of the new chracters introduced sucked. (im not going to say) & of course they couldnt develope them because of limited time. So 8.
Value. As much as an episode of One Piece. Utterly essential to the series. So 10. With inclusion of the nice mini-movie "jango party" thing (very enjoyable) 11/10.
Enjoyment. 10. Nuff Said. Wish it was 3 times longer though.
*edit* decide for yourself add an extra one to value or enjoyment because its the first hint on fanservice in one piece. & its welcome <(^_^)>.

| This movie was a LOT better than the first one. It's very funny, and stays in character for the most part, though the battles were somewhat disappointing to me because it felt like they were following the One Piece standard battle formula more closely than it ever had been followed in the ongoing series. The introduced characters were pretty stale as well, but it's fairly easy to get over them. A very good watch for the One Piece fans overall.

| Dieser Movie hat mir nochmal eine Spur besser gefallen als der 1. Diesesmal ist die Action noch um einiges fetziger und davon gibts in diesem Movie mehr als genug.

| It's one of the best anime movies I've seen. Plenty of action, fun, and a well-balanced story line. One Piece is such a good anime and this movie is like a bonus to what a such amazing series. Still this movie is not for everyone, others may not like it because of the simplicity of the movie. Try it if you have time, I can guarantee you a smile in your face after you have seen it.
