| Ojamajo Doremi is one of those slapstick-done anime that's always funny to watch. It's often funny to see how the characters express their emotion when they're angry.
The biggest problem is the formality of this anime. Most of the actions appear too childish and can be quite obscene in some ways. Most of the professionalism attitude of this anime is simply destroyed by Doremi's weird actions. It's funny to watch it once in a while, but it gets annoying and obscene when its repeated several times.

| Hmm... there's not much to say about this series, really.
Doremi, it seems to me, is an anime specifically targeted for children. So, it is not fair to expect something very complex in terms of story. In fact, we do have a simple, episodic plot, that while not complicated or dramatic, succeeds in beeing interesting enough because it has magic and cute characters. Also, the characters are not 'deep'; not that they are stupid... they are children, so there isn't much room to think much about difficult issues.
In terms of animation, and even sound, I think that maybe, this series creators' didn't put much effort in these fields. I mean, the animation is not that good: the colors are too bright, the characters are too skinny, the backgrounds and the buildings are not very detailed. The music is basically a collection of catchy tunes, that don't blend that well into the scenes. The opening song is not very good...
It is, perhaps because this anime is meant for kids, that these last aspects are so poorly developed... the important thing was to create a story that would be interesting for younger audiences. And, it this departement, I think Doremi's creators actually succeeded. Not that I like this anime very much, but I believe I would like it well enough if I was a kid. :)

| Tut mir ja sorry aber mir ist Doremi eindeutig zu sehr auf jüngeres Publikum gerichtet. Die Serie ist einfach zu cheesy was man besonders am etwas stark nervenden Soundtrack oder den IMO schon lächerlichen Zaubersprüchen zu spüren bekommt, die mindestens ebenso auf den Geist gehen wie die komplette Characktercrew. Gut, ich kenne nur die deutsche Version und demnach richte ich mich auch danach, doch mir fehlt auch jegliche Motivation zum japanischen Original zu greifen, wenn ich ehrlich sein soll. Dieser Anime ist mehr für Kids und solche die auf Kawaii stehen, doch um mich zu fesseln reichts nicht ganz...

| The series is quite amusing and cute, but extremly childish at some points. And when *I* say childish, I mean it. Doremi is obviously adressed at very young viewers, but there are a few jokes and spots where you can have a good laugh, even if you're a a little (far) over the age of the main audience. (me 19)
