| Vandread the Movement Stage OVA is pretty much a summary of Vandread, the first season. Because of that, there really weren't anything new except a couple of scenes at the end. The story and characters are the same as it was before but beside that, it wasn't all that great. If I hadn't seen the TV series, I probably wouldn't given as high a rating as I did.
Since I knew beforehand that this was a recap, I tried to paid more attention to background music since I didn't for the TV series. As it turns out, I actually did like it. Interesting part though is that I prefer the English voice actors compared to the Japanese ones, except for Hibiki.
However, my biggest problem with this is that though it is suppose to be a recap of the first season, it did not show the event in order as it was on the TV series. It moves certain parts to be shown earlier and others later. If you didn't saw the TV series, that might be fine (though you would probably still hates it because it could convey all the necessary information such as the character's background and such) but if you did saw the TV series, it will seem a little confusing with the events happening in different order. So in the end, I probably would not watch the OVA if I could do things over and just stick with watching the TV series, since that was good.

| This is just a 78 min flashback. Some new but mainly not needed scenes. No new developments and no change in any way.

| Running at 90 minutes, Vandread Taidohen takes the massive task of condensing the first 13 episodes into a single bite sized chunk. Sadly it fails quiet horribly and other than a brief new minute long scene involving the pirates calling out the flight teams, those that have seen the first season will want to avoid this one. Thirteen already fast paced episodes jammed into a single 90 minute "movie" simply does not work. The majority of character development is gone, as are some of the more comedic moments. What we're left with is the core story, which in my opinion is one of Vandread's weaker subjects, and parading it on screen for 90 minutes doesn't help either. Also of note is several minor changes to the story, the order of events, as well as some episodes being condensed together for time. I honestly think the only reason Gonzo popped this one out was for those who had yet to see Season 1 to ramp up for Vandread the Second Stage. I can honestly say that I didn't enjoy this 90 minute long rapid fire music video of a movie, and would strongly suggest anyone interested in Vandread to check out the TV series before even thinking of taking this one for a walk in the park.

| Pointless... Absolutely pointless. I LOVE Vandread, but I hate this recap to death! If you've seen the first season of Vandread, DON'T watch this. Even if you haven't seen the first season DON'T watch it. While there is a scene in the beginning that wasn't shown in the TV series, it really isn't worth it. Don't waste your time with this garbage. Watch the TV version! This thing truly deserves straight 1's, but I like to be fair when I review stuff. This so called "movie" takes away the substance that made Vandread what it was. It took away a lot of the comedy and character development, and tried to cram a 13 episode TV series into a poorly done movie. Watch the TV version, and I promise you, you'll get some satisfaction out of it. Apparently I was bought into this movie from Kazaa when some BAKA, called it the movie that takes place in between Vandread and Vandread 2. Disgusted and disappointed I deleted it the second I finished watching the movie.

| Well, its kind of weird reviewing this. Even though its an OAV it basically is a recap episode of SOME AND I MEAN SOME of the important events of the First Stage of Vandread. I basically watched it only to find myself skipping ahead a few minutes a bunch of times to see the next scene. Not to mention it left out alot of the character developement and drama to only show the cool animation. I beg people to please watch the First Stage because its only 13 episodes long and DO NOT use this as a substitute for the first season.

| Well...it's a recap. Their's no plot or character development really. And I highly recommened you watch the series instead of this recap. If you really like Vandread then get it, but if Vandread was okay to you, I wouldn't really look into it if I were you. It's not horrible...it's not great...it's just a recap of Vandread.

| Nobody likes recaps, but what if it showcases the best of the best, versus the same old same old? Taidouhen is a 90min recap of the first vandread series, and thus, is basically identical to the series itself... minus everything but the major events. There were some new scenes added, so people who have already seen vandread still have something to get out of this although it'd be more usefull for those who are starting off with second stage.
