| Teehee. I loved this one. Sure, the graphics feel a bit old at this point, the story is shallow and the characters stupid...
But its simply too much fun! :D
The sillyness and gags may be taken to far for some, but for a CRPG fan like myself its heaven on earth.
Maybe its silly of me to think so, but i really like the intro and outro even though its childish, and some of the jokes are so low that probably a 4 year old would have problem thinking them witty...
But thats all part of the charm :)
If you have a history of waiting for the next final fantasy with delight, staying up half the night playing Breath of fire or replaying the same CRPG over and over just becuase theres something you _might_ have missed or just because of nostalgia... then you should really give this one a try.

| Guruguru is kiddy anime. The whole setting is about RPG game date back in PSone games. All Chars has been reduce the size to kid level. They looks kinda cute. Hero with magic user form a party to defeat some weird lame evil that has been resurrected. They travel through the journey, meet some new people, some were annoying like Kita Kita oyaji that keep destroying the mood of Nike and Kukuri romance. Our hero is not too bright.. but you can't say he's stupid.. I mean he's only 13 years old!! and he's very very very low level hero. Can you believe 45 ep. go by and they only power up from lev.1 to just lev.3?!! Well.. it's was funny and I like RPG jokes, other things doesn't matter.
The whole show suppose to make you laugh, if you not laughing or not amuses in the first ep. I say you quit before wasting your time and effort through the 45 ep.

| The humor on this one really impressed me. Aside from it’s cutesy animation, it flaunted many stereotypes of most RPG’s. Animation, character voices and music appears to be well adjusted for its story. The side characters, who I thought was the funniest were Nike’s parents. Kukuri was mostly made into a clueless character, can be hilarious on occasional times. Something worth to watch, if you happen to see too many anime on your belt.

| Being a fan of RPGs, I love this anime. The whole thing is a parody on old-school RPGs. Consequently, the anime had a unique style to it, at least from those that I've seen.
Kukuri is about the most adorable character I've seen yet. The story, through the series, tends to repeat itself. That may be a play on how older RPGs were kind of like that, I don't know. Point is it makes for a rather bland story line.
Overall, if you're a fan of some old-school RPGs, you'll probably like this.

| Dated back in 1994, this series has been hiding in the Torrent site and never caught my eyes until recently.
Guru Guru is not one of the most elegant words you've seen but if you actually know what it means then you'll understand why they call it mahoujin guru guru. Guru Guru is a very powerful dark magic that one of the main characters (Kukuri) have. She is the only of her kind that still exist. Apparently her race or whatever you call it is extincted.
Nike (Nee-kay) that how they pronounce it not the sports brand, the other main character goes on a journey to fight and defeat the evil monster Giri...
Nike is a light elemental and through out of the series, he seems very useless and usually relies on Kukuri to save his butt. Kukuri has some good spells but mostly makes mistakes on her spells (A laughing flower or some ugly monster looking thing that does nothing). What makes this anime interesting is that it is in some sort of RPG format where each time a character obtains an item a little window pops up saying what the item is and what it does. Most of the time the items are useless (Disappointing Sword or the tension flute). To make it even more interest, characters lose HP and MP points but that is no use because they don't keep track of it.
Weird and Interesting things to look foreward to: Each time there is some sort of romance scene, characters are usually drawn distorted (suppose to be 20X more beautiful than they are suppose to be). Hula skirt hairy old man who like to dance and annoy people, Gipple, some sort of creator that wear a sumo looking underwear...
The anime is full of surprises.

| Mahoujin Guru Guru may seemse old and too simple drawn in these days, but within lies a huge humourus adventure with more energy than mostly anime series have - up to date.

| WOW!!!! not many animes can do exactly what they set out to do, and in style, at that. GuruGuru sets out to entertain you in style, and is remarkably succesful! the original and inventive gags, (and we won't talk about how hard it is to find originality in anime these days) incredible "fun" that this anime contains, and great storyline make this a MUST SEE!!! it is surely only due to a lack of distribution that this is not in the top 100. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and CHECK THIS ANIME OUT!!!!
(BTW: this anime is not for sourheads who like tragedy and doomgloom stuff. it is Meant to be a FUN anime, and if you're not in to that, you're cheating yourself out of this magnificent anime)

| It is a bit dated anime. I like the first few episodes most but watch out for episode 20. If you don't laugh watching this episode, you are not normal. It is a bit pity that the quality doesn't keep up with the earlier episodes after 20. Probably that was when the anime caught up with the manga and needed to make up the story on its own.

| Like DragonHalf, the characters are near-always in super-deformed form, but unlike DragonHalf, they arent as scantily clad and there's not much sexual content. But it's still incredibly funny. I love the way it's modelled after typical RPG's. After 10 epsiodes so far, I can see the story & jokes are getting a bit old. But it's still very enjoyable.
The animation is bright and colorful, reflecting the lighthearted story well. The sound is great. They sound like little kids most of the time but when need to, they sound mature & like the teenagers they're supposed to be. The story seems like a RPG, with the whole "beat the boss monsters & gain level ups" sort of thing. Just watch it for the laughs

| Like a longer, kiddier Dragon Half, this show is pure comedy. If you've ever played any old RPGs, you owe it to yourself to watch at least a little bit of this. The animation isn't that great, but it's got a good heart and tons of laughs. The story comes second to the comedy, but that's all part of the fun.
