| This anime is really hard to review. From the title this is supposedly somehow related to the Steel Angel series. But upon watching it I feel that besides the same characters, nothing is about the steel angels at all.
The animation matches the ones in the first Steel Angel, but a bit more colorful would be better. The seiyuu is decent but not spectacular. Kurumi is not fun when she is sad.
The story is really confusing, by trying to be philosophical, it loses much of the charm in the original Steel Angel Kurumi, also the premise of the story just does not create a good story or plot.
The characters is only okay to the viewers if they have watched the first SAK. Otherwise, it will be hard to know what is going on at all and why they are acting like that. Three episodes of 15 minutes just do not cut it.
It is just hard to place this anime anywhere in the Steel Angel series. It does not have the comedy, the settings is confusing and the story is just hard to make sense. This is only for the SAK lovers.

| This OVA is 15min x3eps.
For an OVA set in the future, it explains SAK 1. the story is really boring. With only 4 characters, pluss Excellia.
This OVA is not meant for anyone except those seen every SAK out there. It suppose to be a intro to SAK 1, but fails miserably. Even though meant to be an OVA for SAK 1, when seeing SAK 1, there is no continuation, or anything related to the first except the male character's name.
I did not enjoy it at all, and only SAK collectors would like to see it. Everyone else stay far away. The lame story line will make people shy of seeing this.

| This anime is kind of strange. Apart from characters, there is nothing left of Steel Angels. Just hints of powers and purposes. Whole series takes place in the same room, and therefore action is replaced by speech, we can only guess what is life in the outside future world looks like. In this circumstances there have to be some really deep and unusual message to prove this series worth - and there is none.

| This is set in the future, based around the human forms of Kurumi, Saki, and Karinka. The anime is set only in the apartment the girls share with their land-lady Excelsia. The origin of the angel heart is explained when Kurumi summons an angel with the power of her love.
All up - A fairly slow anime, but it's short - so watch it just for contiguity

| Well, the first SAK tried romance and humor. The second mostly dumped romance and took up humor. So I guess the third one would have to try the romance angle. Well, it seems that the steel angels have matured a lot more, though their personalities are still the exact same (Kurumi's still very implusive and airheaded, Saki's still . . . Saki, Karinka's still a little kid but with more tact). I think this series needed more explaination. I thought that Excelia was a steel angel until the end (kinda like Nadesico in SAK 1). I also think that the love story is very idealistic. In real life the guy would be scared away from Kurumi if she said what she said after only meeting once to talk about clubs after school AND NOT EVEN CATCHING EACH OTHER'S NAMES THE WHOLE TIME! That just doesn't happen. Once again, an average anime, worth a watch (especially if you've already seen the first two) but it's not anything too special. The ending is just like the first one's. The ED though is pretty good.

| What you need to understand is as Sinai said, this is an 'Elseworld' anime and you have to dig deep and analyze this anime almost like a book for symbols. It does have a connection to the other series but it's very deep and feels very hidden due to the complete 180degree turn of the characters personalities. Still a worthy addition to a very good series tho.

| SHOULD HAVE BEEN LONGER. Three episodes that don't explain anything at all weren't enough. It had potential, but the charcters were so....out of place? I'm not sure how to describe it. They acted so differently from what you expect, having seen Kurumi 1 and 2.

| This OAV is essentially an "Elseworlds" type take on the Steel Angel Kurumi story. The basic idea of an Elseworlds story is that everything changes, and everything remains the same. I found this OAV to be a nice little slice of life story heavy on the dark emotional side, and mostly entertaining. However, it falls flat in the 3rd episode, as the reasoning behind all the events is extremely fuzzy and everything is resolved in a flash. I suspect that the fansubbers weren't up to the task of translating the complicated concepts involved in what a "Gamma", "Holder", and "Angel" were within the context of the story, and that's the largest problem with the OAVs.
One interesting thing is that the entire story takes place inside an apartment, with infrequent scene changes and overall, the OAV was extremely dialogue heavy, making it feel quite a bit like a play.
As all Elseworlds, it's best appreciated in the artistry it takes to take a established world and work with it to produce a unique story.

| I'd have to say that this was pretty much average overall, although i thought the animation was beautifull. I havent yet seen either of the TV installments of Kurumi so I cant compare them to this OVA. 3 episode short-stories await you in this M.O.E. produced series.

| This has got to be the strangest spin-off of an original anime I have ever seen. It's good from an emotional and intellectual point of view and it's a nice story. If your expecting more of the original "hyper" Kurumi, you are really going to be disapointed.

| This is crap. It has almost nothing to do with either of the tv series. WHile that is understandable, it's almost like an entirely different show. If you watched Steel Angel Kurumi 1 and 2 and are expecting this to be an extension of a great series, forget it. It's simply a boring mindless overly dramatic romantic pile of rubbish with absolutely none of the charm of the original.

| Ok, I'm still wondering what the HELL just happened in this anime -_- It doesn't make any sense, and is completely different from the series. I don't even know if the Steel Angels are even angels in this one O_o It's really confusing... and boring

| Okay, I must admit, I was quite disapointed in this OVA. The sound was pretty corny(Kurumi didn't have the energy she had in the first season). The ending is LOWSY, otherwises, it is a good storyline. The other dialogue is pretty corny and repetitive, naked girls talking about "I believe in you!". Definetely aimed at fanboys.

| Not the typical Steel Angel Kurumi episodes. More of a romance/drama kinda thing then the fightning comedy of the first and second season. Gone are the always smiling Kurumi and in place is the now normal girl Kurumi who falls in love. Story basically evolves around Kurumi falling in love with a guy that's going away. The usuall stuff.
