| Never from watching anime have I felt so stupid. After the first three episodes, after every episode I had to scream "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!". However, episode 4 pretty much answered all the questions I had, and I would love to go back and see what I missed the first time around.
In saying that, I have to remark on ONE's low score. This is not a typical anime. Episode four, the one I enjoyed the most, is the most typical of anime, but the first three are like a puzzle that challenges you so much. It assumes you're not stupid, but after having been spoon-fed so many anime before, I don't think I can ever watch anime the same way again.
That isn't saying ONE is good anime. The characters are interchangeable, and not knowing what the hell is going on isn't too many people's idea of a good watch, but if you feel that the recent anime you have been watching have been brainless, the you will probably be challenged by this, in a "WTF is happening" kind of way.
(if other people say the plot was easy to figure out, I'll feel even stupider XD)

| As many of the others have already said, yeah.. this anime is damn boring.
I started watching it and then continued, anyway the end was a sort of liberation.
There's no plot, if there's one then it's well disguised.
I just save animation and part of the sounds.
The rest is kind of junk: no characterization, no story, zero enjoyment... geez.. so sad.

| I...am really having a lot of trouble finding words for ONE. I'm also having trouble understanding why, despite its plodding and pedantic nature, I didn't find it unredeemably awful. This appears to be one of the most universally maligned animes on Animenfo, and it's easy to see why. There is nothing quite like this anime, and though this certainly achieved a unique effect, this unfortunately does little to help it. Overall, ONE didn't work very well at all in the grand scheme of things.

| Uhh? That is what I felt when I finished watching this anime. It seems that the writers deliberately made the storyline extra slow and confusing for some reason. The only thing that I remember is that there are different music instrument for each episode...
The story is hard to understand... it's not that there is no story, but it moves so slow and reveal so little that left me scratching my head afterwards.
The characters are pretty stock, and nothing seems to stands out in any of them.
The animation is decent at best. The backgrounds can be more vibrant and colourful and the "running" animation can be done more smoothly.
This anime is very boring for me, as the story moves very slowly and there are no climax in any of the episodes.

| Animation and sound are pretty good, but the rest is... not. I won't call it "boring", it's simply slow. The problem with this OVA is that it's very confusing, and even though I watched all of it, I didn't understand a thing. I mean, I find myself in front of the screen, strong wind blows, and this scary music is in the background, but I don't understand WHY it should bother me, since I don't understand what's going on at all.
Characters are coming and going too quickly, can't value them...

| Okay, avoid at all costs. If you have some time to blow and you really feel like it, watch this anime.
I sort of understood the plot, but after 2 episodes what I thought was going to happen wasn't, and everything went downhill from there. The ending was... okay, but unsatisfying. About the only good thing to this is the animation, which wasn't exactly perfect either.

| From the outside you get a feeling of nostalgia and warmth. You also see beautiful character design and animation. However, that's probably the only thing you can consume when watching ONE OVA. Words cannot describe how slow, boring, and bland this OVA was. Characters weren't anything to rave about, there was not plot, and I think they were just lazy when it came to the animation.

This anime is quite weird. I got the same feeling as with some of David Lynch's movies, where things often aren't what they seem. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, although I'm doubtful in this case.
I'm not really sure wath it's really about. I think the producers didn't do a very good job with things like "setting the mood", or atleast set quite a strange eerie one. At first glance (like when reading the description) it appears to be a romantic drama. My description would be something along the lines of "eerie, premonition, dream-state drama", heh, sort of...

| Quite an unromantic lovestory. I can't exactly say this was a thrilling anime. You get a bunch of shallow girls, with no background and two mysterious guys, who look the same except for the eyes. Well, at least there is a happy ending for everyone, I guess.

| Uhhhh . . . finally . . . over . . . Good god this was boring!!!!!! And I only watched one episode!! This thing is so damn slow and boring and impossible to understand (if there is anything to understand). The animation's pretty good, as is the sound, but that's all other than finally seeing the credits. That was by far the most exciting part of the whole episode for me. Maybe I'll keep this to torture some of my friends . . . no, nobody deserves a fate like that.

| Another entrant into the "startlingly boring dating sim series" genre, this series goes into flashback so many times, it feels like there's only five minutes worth of actual plot. This would be fine if the characters were remotely interesting, but they aren't. The *entire* definition of character traits here seems to be based off what musical instrument a girl plays.
Worthless except as a non-narcotic substitute for Codeine.

| the animation on this is pretty good but I think chobits had better animation.
the sound is ok but I think the sound & music is way better on stellvia of the universe.
I don't like the story much its hard to under stand.
for the characters you don't get to see them much before they go to another one to under stand them.
its hard to enjoy something where you don't know whats going on

| Hmm... Another anime based on a dating game... This kind of anime are usually aimed towards die-hard fans of the games and the anime usually isn't too good (just to squeeze money out of the gamers), and this ONE is no exception. I haven't played the game and therefore... like many who have seen this OVA, I was confused until I got enlightened by one of the anime forums.

| This story is base on game huh? I guess that why I couldn't understand it clearly, guess I have to play the game too(which I didn't and even knew this game untill now).
Althou character didn't develop much in this series cause it just 4 ova, but the story teach me one thing "A person is alway with you(even they died) if you alway remeber them" That pretty much it. LOL

| It's weird... but it's good. I wouldn't be surprised if it was based on a renai game (Different stories, different girls but with the same boy).
A sad series that I really don't understand at the beginning but I think I will watch it again so as to enjoy it more.

| Looks like something out of a datesim... And like Kanon, very very mysterious. The main problem is that Kanon has 13 episodes to develop, while this one makes it in 4 only. The result is mistifying. I, for once, have understood very very little.

| ONE ~Kagayaku Kisetsu e~ is an OAV series based on the popular renai game by Key. It's bishoujo drama appeal has helped with its popularity with older men. Though I never played the game, I was able to view the OAV - and I'm glad I did.

| With all the people calling this anime boring, I figured I had to watch it. Having now watched it, let me be the fifth person to say that nothing really happens in this anime.
Whether or not this anime will bore you depends on the sortof person you are. The first episode certainly didn't hold my interest, but by the end of the second episode I was curious enough as to what was going on that the last two episodes managed to hold my interest.
My biggest complaint about the anime was that, in my opinion, the characters were rather poorly developed.
The one positive thing I can say about this anime is that it's driven by a central theme which becomes apparent in the later episodes. This gives the anime a sense of coherancy despite the lack of strong characters or a compelling story.
Is it worth watching? If you don't bore easily and have nothing better to do, it'll only take a couple hours of your life. Otherwise don't bother.
