With a big crash between Randoll and 2-time CF champion Kazami Hayato, can he recover to become a race driver again? And what is the "zero-region"?

The second OVA of the CF series gives more character development between the 2 couples of Hayato/Asuka and Shingyo/Miki combo. We also get to see a more prominant role of Bleed Kaga where he will battle Kazami time and time again (very much like the duel of Char/Amuro in Gundam).

The story this time is a slightly unrealistic but nonetheless, has a very good scope of how a race car driver recovers from a devastating injury. There are also nice little side story on other drivers (Shingyo) where they have their own little story.

The animation is really good, now most of the big teams all have a nice car desgin as oppose to the previous series where only Sugo and Aoi got any decent car design.

Again, a really good continuation of the CF franchise as we keep on growing up with all the drivers in the series, another must watch for the CF fans.

Trivia: 1994 in the F1 world is a tragic year. With the death of F1 driver Rolan Rotzenburger and the great Aryton Senna, the F1 world is devastated as Michael Schumacher racks up his first of his seven world championship. If I remember correctly, this OVA played a tribute to Aryton Senna by naming a race corner to his name in one of the episode (listen for the announcer to say some driver crashing out at the Senna corner).

3 years after CF Double-one's release we have the second ova series, CF Zero. As usual, all of the caracters, cars, racing, excitement, and drama that you've come to love throughout our Cyber Formula journey is intact, but with some subtle, yet important differences. Sugo develops a second team early on in the ova which puts a lot of pressure on Hayato, more then he already has when he races. The driver for the new Sugo team is young and mysterious... what will the future hold? The relationships between Shinjou & Miki and Hayato & Asuka progress very nicley in Zero and near the end of the OVA you'll see even more of the "growing up" of the characters that has been slowly progressing throughout the OVAs. Especialy in Asuka. Each of the Cyber Formula OVA's is a small portion of a big story, one that is ever-developing throughout the years of Cyber Formula.
