| Ahh, late 80's -> early 90's OVAs, the golden years of anime. Back when studios tried new things, pushed the envelope, and did more then make money-mill anime series. Peacock King had everything that I love about an OVA. It's very well animated, great music, the story is simple but extreemly well laid out and entertaining. The hero of the story is cool and easy to like and the secondary characters do more then just take up space on screen. The 45-60 minute episodes are paced very well and keep your attention from start to finish. Funny in places, intence action scenes in places, drama in places. There's really not much you can say against Peacock King. Don't let the name fool you, this isnt a trip to the city zoo. Peacock King is a great early 90's spiritual-action ova.
