An absolutely amazing show in all aspects. It is so unique, different from other anime somehow. I really cannot describe how great it is. Snow Fairy Sugar has so much heart in it, and it is so pure and innocent. This is what I consider a 'must watch'.

The animation is a bit lazy and jumpy sometimes, but I'm talking about the movements. Now the art style? Amazing. I love Koge-Donbo. She is definitly my favorite artist of all time. It's candy for your eyes, no doubt.

The music rocks. Opening theme is soooo catchy! And the ending is just adorable. The background music is amazing. Piano mostly. I have the OST.

I'm surprised that character is so low. Well, not low but, lower than all of the others. I mean, Koge-Donbo? How can it get an 8.9!!! They are all so adorable!

Snow Fairy Sugar is dramatic, funny, cute, and somewhat about magic and piano music. It has alittle bit of everything. Well, this is highly recommended, if you aren't one of those people who thinks they're too cool for kids shows. It's an amazing anime, and that's that!

Well.. This isn't among the best anime I have seen. To be honest, I think it was one of the most boring and childish ones. I really don't know why I watched it to the end.

The animation wasn't bad, the sound was okay, but none of these were either good. Next, I think the characters were very annoying and extremely childish..
Last, I think the story was boring and also to childish.

So, all in all, this anime didn't give me much of entertainment. And definitely, I'm not going to watch this again.

I think I was a bit old to watch this kind of anime. As the title says, this is a sugar sweet story with likewise characters. From another viewpoint, of any kids or someone younger than me, this can make a good entertainment. If you are above 15-17 years old, and not a girl I believe you will be terribly dissapointed by this one.

My first chibi series. It made a good impression on me, but when I got back to it. I found the characters quite annoying. Especially the relationship between Saga and Sugar, the ending is quite predictable. But then the work getting there can get you irritated.

Despite this, I actually found that every aspect of this was above average: down to the music, art, animation, and voice work. It's focused towards a younger audience, but I still found it enjoyable and entertaining.

Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar is...like it`s successor Pita-ten, one of the greatest works Broccoli INC has ever done. Heck, those two shows are some of the greatest kid`s anime ever. I swear, Koge Donbo is one of the greatest manga-kas on the Earth.

Animation: Very clean and smooth. No sudden art changes, and the animation is very consistent. The eyes are drawn huge, and hence its title, all the characters are drawn so sugary sweet that it will bring the viewer cavities. It`s "fua fua, puka puka, and kira kira" (soft, warm, and shiny). I really enjoyed the Broccoli style, and the water backgrounds really enhance the anime`s setting.

Sound: The OP song is one of the most catchy and addictive song I`ve ever heard. The opening animation is also very kawaii. I watched all the Opening animation, because they were done remarkably well. The Ending theme was also sugoi, with a soothing chorus. Sound effects were done with a "plushy" feel. Everything sounds gentle and fluffy. This show had many cute sounding things, like Sugar taking out her flute or the different instruments each fairy play. All the orchestral themes were done extremely well. The only gripe was that they played Saga`s song on the piano a tad bit too much througout the anime.

Story: The story, pertaining to its title, is about a tiny snow fairy Sugar who comes to Earth and meets with a fellow human who could see her. They are season fairies, and they cause the different seasons to change. A very simple plot it seems, but the anime carries this anime a lot further than its simple storyline. Everything fits in the anime; there are no plot holes. The connections are there: from Saga`s piano to Greta, from the kirameki to the magical flower, and the connection between Sugar and Saga. The story flows along at a comfortable pace, and towards the end (eps 20-24) there is enough drama that rivals even Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien.

Character: Saga as the main character was developed extremely well. The audience could see her cope with disaster and how she grew up to accept the tragedy that befell her while she was a child. Sugar, Pepper and Salt were also developed very well. The only character I didn`t like was Choro-sama, mainly because the anime portrayed him as a pedolicious elder fairy. Turmeric, Ginger, Cinnamon and Basil were only bit characters, so they won`t developed as well. Anyways, Tiny Snow Fairy has one of the most character development I`ve ever seen in any anime.

Value: Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar is a more than worthwhile watch of 24 episodes. You`ll enjoy the story, the Bear Pianist, and the way the anime flows like the river of seasons.

Enjoyment: I really enjoyed Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar. Like Pita-ten, it is a very good show with deep morals and a decent plot to back it up. The drama towards the end wil also satisfy to be a good tearjerker. This anime will stay on my top 5 anime list.

Snow Fairy Sugar, the first anime DVD I ever bought is certainly quite enjoyable. I caught on to the story without even seeing the first 4 episodes, so you can tell it doesn't have much of one. What much can I say, there isn't much comedy, just alot of cuteness. This is a very welldone show for kids, and I suggest you watch it. Drama is also one of its genres, so if you are expecting some parody with a whole bunch of cute fairies magically helping people, and EVERYONE can see them, and they like cute stuffed cats name Necoconeco and have a dog named Potato, then you won't like all the episodes. The piano background music is so wonderful, and I love the ending and opening themes. I also loved the English voice cast better than the Japanese cast. The story is the only weak point. Its a shame hardly any people have reviewed this. It really deserves I higher spot on the top 200. Perhaps number 90 or below, I think. This is a great anime overall. I recomend it to anyone.

You know how small children do stuff that other people, mostly women, think is really cute? That would describe this series 90% of the time. There's a good freaking reason they put sugar in the title. My teeth almost rotted completely away while I watched this. The story was bad, the characters were annoying as hell, and I definitely won't find myself watching this one over again. This may have been better if I'd only seen an episode a week like it was originally intended.

Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar is a very enjoying anime about a fairy named Sugar who came to the human world to search for "glitter" so she could become a full-fledged fairy. This anime included many memoral scenes which makes you want to watch more. Overall, this anime is more suitable for the younger audience but still could be enjoying for the older ones.

Oh well, what could I say... This one must be ranked second on my favorite anime list, coming just a little short of Full Moon wo Sagashite. Its nice story and loveable characters will make you love it ! If you're put up by the opening however, don't waste your time watching this one, there are much worse things to come... I guess it's just a "love it or hate it" anime.

A beautiful, cute, and sad anime. I love the setting (small European town), and Sugar is incredibly cute, though the others are cute as well. There are some slightly boring filler episodes in the middle, but the series as a whole is *very* well done and very emotionally touching. The ending is quite a lot sadder than would have been expected of such a cute anime, but its also very beautiful at the same time (though it does knock down the rewatchability).

Highly recommended to all anime viewers!

A very sweet *simple* story about the charactor developement of Saga and Sugar. In this story, we get to see how Sugar and Saga each find that important thing in their life. Their companionship bonding grew stronger with each test brought by misfortune and lack of self-awareness.

Okies, the first half of the serie seem episodic, but was enjoyable and does somewhat contribute to the underline plot. It provide the charactors setting for the later half of the serie. The story make serious progress around episode ~15. Sagara confronting her problem while the fairies started to find their Twinkle. The ending was nothing short of expectation, it was a sad happy ending.
This serie got the innocent and theme of Kokoro Library and the cuteness and funniness of Di Gi Charat.
Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar=Kokoro Library + Di Gi Charat. Highly recommended!

Just occasionally I get much more from an anime than I was expecting, and so was the case with Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar. For a show that looks for all the world like a shallow cutesy lightweight thing, it packs a hell of an emotional punch. The story holds together well, the animation is as good as anything, the characters (apart from some of the adults) are all well realised and fully fleshed out. Straight into my top 10! Recommended to anyone.

"A painfully cute Shoujo anime"

That's really the best summary for sugar, painfully cute. After I finished watching Pita Ten I realy wanted to check out another series that was simmilar to that, this looked like it would fit the bill so I decided to buy the dvds.

It's not that sugar was a bad show, but it was too fluffy with what seemed like way to little content for the duration of the series. When the half-way mark rolled around this show was realy trying my patience, enough to the point where I decided to just stop watching. I think this would have flowed alot nicer if it was 12-13 eps instead of 24.

I'm not upset that I paid for this I guess, but I am upset that it wasnt what I thought it would be like. Great visuals and an even better string\piano score kept me going a little longer then I might have if they were each just average. Maybe it's me, or maybe I just didnt connect with the show because I'm a little older. Perhaps I'll revisit this latter on.

I generally enjoy childish light comedy/dramas, but with this one I was put to test. I had to force myself to watch it till the end, and unfortunately it was not what I had in mind.
The series is definitely enjoyable for kids, but for a grown man it's a though job to do. It had a couple of very good episodes, but overall it was just quite boring.

There were a lot of things about this anime I liked, and just as many things that I didn't. On the good side of things were the interesting characters, the unique musical integration, the kawaii factor and the powerful ending. But the bad list includes a very predictable plot, too much filler, and animation that was only high quality during important scenes, leaving the less important scenes somewhat choppy. Still, I liked it overall. Recommended for younger viewers mainly, and for those seeking a break from violent and adult-oriented anime.

The anime that got me hooked!
Sugar is a fairy which can be a bit selfish to times, but ends up with staying with Saga as her fairy training. With her friends, Pepper and Salt, they encounter lots of adventures and fun.
This is an anime that I can say I cried to, when Sugar had to leave in the final episode.
The pace between the episode and their connections are probably unbeaten by any anime created, but you will have to watch closely to see that.
Only minus is the Bear Pianist. He had nothing to do in this anime, buddy!
A clear favourite as a beginner's anime!

The opening theme song is very nice. Cute fairies flying around. But I dislike the eyes of the anime characters. I don’t mind their eyes being big but they seem too black. Yup, too black. Saga is a good character with good character development. She has her principles and is very diligent. The usage of piano music once a while is really soothing.

When I first watch this anime, I stop watching it coz its just too damn childish. But after a week and all my other anime has been watched, I gave it a second chance… and I was indeed relieved that I took a second look at it. Its not that all enjoyable and it has a nice story to it. Not much humor but more towards relationship and finding the Kirameki.

No action or romance. Skip it if you tend to get bored real fast

Very adorable series.. Especially Sugar and Saga. CUTE CUTE.. CUTE...E.... XD XD

I like almost everything in this series. Charming Character design (SUGAR IS CUTE and as SWEET as her name). I have fallen in love with this series since the very first few episodes. Saga-san's heart-warming voice is fantastic. All the seiyuu(s) suit character personalities which make the series even more interesting. Relationship between Saga and Sugar, the main focus, have been done very well which push the series to the top-class ranking.

However, the reason that I gave 9/10 for Story isThere is too many pointless things happen in the series, making it not flowing very well, but it is still good. Just a bit annoying.. hee hee

Yet, when the story reaches its very end, several last eps, everything turns into the best of all anime I have seen. It is so moving and touching that my eyes were overflown with tears. My heart was broken into pieces. >___<,

After watching this series, I feel like I could be able to see Fairy in real life especially Sugar hee hee. Not many anime can get me into it, but This one does.

Spectacular master piece!!

First couple episodes you had to get used to, but once you meet all the characters, and the story gets more deep and meaningful, I continued watching them all. The music was nice and memorable throughout the whole series, but a little tiresome to hear the same stuff over and over again, but still nice to hear. All the characters were greatly done. It touched my heart, but not as much as Pita Ten since they are both in the cute category. I agree, watch this after Serial Lain, or Boogiepop, LOL ^_^

Too much sugar rots the teeth and the mind. Thank god that’s only for eating sugar, not watching. This is an ultra sweet and cute anime, much along the lines of Pita Ten. Sugar is just TOO DAMN SWEET! You’ll feel the sweetness in your mouth. And the animation perfectly displays this, as do all the voice acting (the only reason why sound did not get a 10 is because I was not too partial to some of the piano music; I think they could have picked better for one of the tunes but that’s just me being anal and nit-picky). The story is surprisingly good considering its premise is weak and it looks this cute. It’s not perfect but it is pretty good. And the ending, though not what I wanted, was a real ending, not like the trail off endings like most series. The characters are just perfect (except Greta, she’s a bit annoying but that’s her role though sometimes she’s too good at it. Luckily she is generally ignored by everyone so she gets little stage time). A very enjoyable series for those looking for something a little light-hearted but still with substance. Definitely recommend. Someone should watch this right after watching Serial Experiments Lain or Ayashi no Ceres or Boogiepop Phantom just to offset the darkness of those series, though you might just get blinded my Sugar.
