| slayers premium is the last of an endless slayers saga. it seems like another episode of one of the 3 long series but an average one. all the famous characters appear and fight alongside again.
ENJYOMENT
i like slayers very much because of lina inverse. i can not get enough of seeing her fighting demons. but this movie can not compare to the slayers series. though it is better than the previous movies.

The OVA could be like a regular episode of the TV series but this time with better animation, more silly jokes and a sense of nostalgia since it was the last animated Slayers feature.
Except the series I had only seen Slayers Perfect from the OVAs. Since another animation studio took care of the OVAs and not SOFTX as in the TV series the OVAs are different than the series. Slayers Perfect failed to impress me (see my review and the others for more).
But Slayers Premium made some corrections that made it more enjoyable, though still less enjoyable than the series:
Time was shortened to 32 minutes. Thats a perfect duration for a Slayers episode. 60 minutes would make it boring, as in Slayers Perfect.
Then Nagas role as Lina's opponent was reduced. Instead all the familiar cast from the TV series (Slayers Next arc) arrive.Naga was very annoying in the other movie. The characters are hilarious and some points I thought I was watching another episode of the TV series. They did a good job overall.
Also the story was made as simple as possible. Some Octopi plan to destroy the humans by taking their energy and infecting the humans with the octupus language. Gourry falls victim and others as well. It is up to Lina Inverse to save the town and find a cure.
if you want a deeper story and character developement, the Slayers novel is already translated in English and is available (up to volume 6 though and some translation modifications). Or I'd propose the TV series or some manga volumes as an alternative. This is strictly for those who know the basic things about Slayers.

| Hey Squidword. Hi spongbrain. How are you doing.. ja na te.. Slayer premium is probably invent while the drawer hungry and got nothing to eat but a left over tarayaki(am i spell that right? you know the ball thingy with squid fry on the hot hole iron).
The animation greatly improve, either that or they just used computer grahpic and load of crap to make it pleansent on movie wide screen.
This one is funny... if you don't take it seriously. Octopus story about the curse/cure might wear you down, but don't worry they got something good coming. For example, Gourry just said "I love you" all of the sudeen!! you want to know why? WATCH IT!

| Slayers Premium is definatly NOT the best Slayers movie i've seen. However it is an o.k. addition that is certainly worth watching at least. As always the story in this movie was not particularily deep but provied an hour of cheap ($15) entertainment. If you want to know more read on

| Okay, so the story was completely idiotic, so what? Slayers Premium was still a lot of fun. It easily had the best animation of all the Slayers anime with a few nice songs too! And of course, the usual awesome characters and the classic Slayers sense of humor made it well worth watching. I hope they make more episodes some day.

| Overall, not exactly classic stuff, with even less plot than other Slayers works, but it is well-worth the watch. In fact, it surpasses all the other Slayers works in its hilarity. I mean, cute little octupi sick and tired of people eating them, so they decide to take over the world? What could be more silly? Had me laughing aloud many, many times. Plus, it has all the great characters from the series in their regular antics: Lina, Gourry, Amelia, Zel, and even Xellos. Recommended to all fellow Slayers fans.

| Finally we got a movie with Gourry and them. It's defenitely better than the ones with Naga.
But the thing is that Slayers is ... weak. You're still gonna get a weak storyline with a few good jokes and that's it.
Can't expect too much from ths seies I guess.
It was kinda short too.

| After years of waiting, Slayers fans finally get what they deserve: A true sequel to the series, featuring the original cast of Lina, Gourry, Amelia, Zelgadis, and Xelloss, it's definatly for the fans this time.
Though a bit on the short side, clocking at 30 minutes, it lives up to the TV series: Truly a laugh a minute film.
New comers to the Slayers universe will surely be confused by the number of unfamiliar characters, they pop up left and right and may only be there just to say their catch phrase. As I said, this ones for the fans.
This anime should be at the top of the list for any Slayers fan; For everyone else, check out the TV series first.

| Da ich diese bisherigen "Naga & Lina only" Movies noch nie leiden konnte war ich heilfroh das nun endlich auch mal Zelgadis & Co in einem längeren Streifen mitwirken dürfen. Der Film ist leider nur 30 Minuten lang und auch die Story ist heftigstes Mittelmaß doch wie es bei Slayers nun mal so ist kann der Film das meiste durch den abgedrehten Humor retten und bleibt somit nichts besonderes aber immerhin unterhaltend.

| Like all slayers movies, Premium was fun to watch. However, it was more like a one episode story; not being more detailed... lasting about 25 minutes. All of the slayer characters are in it, with 5-sec guest appearance of Naga (at the end). The bad thing was, that it was too short for a movie; and the good thing was that, it was funny (as always) & had a cool scene where Gourry dodges a octopus coming at his face while doing the 'Matrix' move, where the camera rotated 360 degrees.. (aka bullet time)
