| I have been very impressed with the mix of animation and CG that Vandread displays. The flow is smooth and seamless, and adds to its appeal rather than detract as I thought it might. Vandread definetely comes across as a comedy, yet it contains moving scenes and episodes reminiscent of a more serious, dramatic anime. I found it wholly satisfying.

| Wow, when i finished watching this i was pretty much satisfied with it not a bad ending. Its a funny and action filled anime with 3d animation i loved it. This was better than the first season because it explained the things that i wanted to know during the first season, such as hibiki's real identity and why the earthlings want to harvest them etc. The fighting scenes in this anime is fantastic i cant get enough, some parts may be perverted but its still fun to watch how they deal with each other since they dont know anything about their opposite sex. Their relationships make me wonder what would happen if the situation was real. Its animation is similar to another anime ive watched and its GateKeepers because of the way they draw the eyes its very similar. During the last 2 episodes i had goosebumps watching it and i got so excited, this is a great anime to watch if your into space travel, perverted scenes, action and fighting with love and romance.

| More Twists~! More Planets~! More Allies~! More Enemies~! More MORE MORE~! & EVEN A SUPER COOL UNEXPECTED SUPER VANDREAD?! COOLS~!
The Second Stage is a MUST Watch if you have enjoyed the First Season of Vandread. Definitely~! =)
Animation is EVEN BETTER~! Clearer Animation, Better Looking Weapons, & Sceneries of Planets. Weapons and Lasers etc.etc. Mechas Too Look As Spectacular as Ever & the Super Vandread is SUPER COOL~! (O_O). Character Designs are still the same, however, i disliked the way the animators had done the eyelashes of the females. =(
Sounds. Seiyuus Still Did A GreaT Job. OP Theme is Another CooL Song. =) However, i didn't really enjoy the ending theme as it was a bit too slow, in my opinion, and the melody wasn't to my tastes. But then again, other than that, The Sounds are GREAT as WEll~! =)
Story? Well with More Twists, More Pasts Revealed & More Surprises. I can't say too much here, otherwise i'll spoil the story. But mm, there were Many Surprises & many more Development of Characters that came with those Twists & Adventures. The Characters that weren't exactly developed last season, were developed this season. =) Everything was Great, the arrival of a new crew member, Ezra's baby, a Super COOL Vandread~! Could You Ask For ANYMORE?!
There was a Good Balance of Comedy & Serious & Drama as well. There were a Few episodes that REALLY Touched Me & Made me shed tears. T_T. & Lots of Scenes that Made me Laugh Out Loud. & With More Surprises~! More Twists~! More ExciteMent & Suspense~! Of Course, we know that the heroes will always win, but HOW will they win? Which brings even More Surprises. x) & the Characters were Developed Even More. =)
Sadly, there were a couple of flaws and disappointment. Firstly, they didn't exactly bother to tell about Misty's past. Other than the fact about where's she's from, they didn't exactly bother to explain about her previous life, how her life was back on that planet, what was that yellow thing, and why was she sleeping in that capsule??? It's a disappointment, but at least they developed Misty's character and showed some of her inner qualities and flaws. =/
Another disappointment was, the way they ended Vandread Was GREAT~! A Feeling of "Things will Never End. & Life Will Constantly Go On..." But I was Disappointed when they Left the Futures of the Nirvana's crew untold, & Meant for us viewers to imagine. I was a bit disappointed with that, because i really want to know how the crewmembers' lives will turn out~! T_T
Another flaw was, mmm, towards the climax of the story, when the Vandread Crew were fighting those "fakes" again, it seemed like it was sooo much easier to kill them off than during the start of the series, which were a big obstacle at that time. Maybe it's because their vandreads had really improved and increased in power, but they probably should have explained it more... =/
Despite these few flaws, the twists of the story, the CooL Mechas, Great Animation, Action & Drama will make up for them. There was A Lot Of Meaning in Vandread, & this series talked a lot about Living on with Your Life, Carrying the Wishes of those who had died along the way, & Treasure them & Your Memories of them Deeply in your heart. T_T & About Friends that Trust & Support you too. =)
It Probably would have been Much Better if there were More Episodes, for More Explanation & Character Development, but either way, Vandread : The Second Stage was A Really Great Watch for me, & I Really Enjoyed the Whole Vandread Series. =)
If You're into mechas, some comedy, some romance, and some ecchi and drama. Be Sure to check Vandread Out~! ;D

| ANIMATION:This show continued defying the laws of physics posibly more so than the first season. Over all though I thought they did a much better job of animateing the the second season then they did in the first. The CG was cleaner (less particle effect blurr) and so was the anime-tion. The few scenes with blood in them were nicely done as well as the "stuff blowing up" scenes.
SOUND: I think that the sound suffered a lot from the first season. they kept useing the same theme all the time and the beginning and ending themes were noting special.
STORY: In this season, as expected, the story is resolved, however there were a few moderately good twists along the way. In the end though I think that the storywriters were trying too hard to have a happy ending, I mean come on... well if I said more it would give away too much ^_^!''
CHARACTER: In this season, the story focuses alot more on characters as well as adding some new ones. I liked all the characters despite charater flaws, but I guess I am just that kinda guy. Im sure that other people found many things to dislike about certain charaters... w/e
VALUE: Will watch again
ENJOYMENT: Well I certainly enjoyed this one alot more than the first one... mostly because I had gotten used to the show by now and I didnt get all uncomfertable from the inappropriate perverted stuf as much and I got over the shows "powerrangerness" and yeah thats about it
PS sorry for sucking at spelling

The second season of Vandread. Done with the background information of the characters and onto the action to save their planets from Earth.
Almost everything about the second season is better as the excitement gets better and we learn more about the Earth's intention as well as who Hibiki really is. Add that in with even better animation, new characters (more on this later), along with some unexpected twist, and you'll have yourself a good anime to watch and enjoy.
But no anime is perfect though and despite all the good, there were things that it falls short on and lacks. But the good outweights the bad of course.

| I can see why stage 2 of Vandread has a higher rating than the first, but this is mainly because Vandread is a 26 episode anime series and not 2 x 13 episode anime series! Basically it’s like any other 26 episode anime; the beginning is a little slow, allowing the viewer to get a feel for the characters and allowing the storyline to build up slowly.
Stage one ends on this intriguing cliff-hanger that leaves the viewer needing to watch stage 2 and stage 2 doesn’t disappoint! It starts from where stage one finishes and straight away is more exciting and engrossing. The comedy element is less prevalent , the battles are far more intense and it has a wonderful feel good ending ^_^

| After the first series, I had to watch the second. I mean, it says it self! :P I watched and enjoyed series one, and when I watched the second, wow. We got to see how things ended, and it ended really cool. Like other animes, they leave you with no clue what will happen now, but here we got to actually hear something he should say long time ago. I wont go into details, since this is ment to be wanting you to see the series, right! :D Why not? I mean, there are no reasons why NOT to watch this anime you know! ;) - Have fun! ^^

| A nice continuation of the series. Thier enemies have become much smarter making it harder for the main characters to win and more thrilling for the viewers to watch how they will overcome thier obstacles.
The development of the romance of the character Hibiki is getting more intense. I also liked the fact that they only give small clues on whom he will end up with.
If you have watch the 1st half of vandread you should watch this.

| The last time I saw a series with this many ups and down is when I watched Kimi ga Nozomu Eien more than a year ago. The minute I’ll come to the conclusion that Vandread II is worth watching, the blather so distinctive for it will change my mind almost immediately afterwards. You can imagine my predicament. In the end, I decided that the anime cannot be truly cruddy because of the occasional worthwhile moment. But then, the anime also has a bit too much suck for it to be truly good, either. …considering that Vandread II has lame humor, a sloppy array of characters and a vomit-inducing smorgasbord of computer graphics, this fact may be a compliment.

| Vandread 2 is awesome. The #1 thing that made me love this series was the highly developed relationship between Dita and Hibiki. Watching this made it all worth it.
Even though people clamor about its improved plot, which is true, they're at least rushing towards something with a time limit, this part isn't really important at all. It just kind of moves the story along, and it really isn't all that interest in itself.
BUT, like I mentioned, the character relationships take a huge turn from the first series. ALthough a lot of it can be considered cliche if you watch a lot of anime, anyone who is still new and haven't seen many would definitely want to give this a shot!
It will pull you into the anime world because of its great mix of action and love scenes without too much angst and depth.

| This season of Vandread is much better due to better animation and a much detailed storyline than the first. If you liked the first season, you'll definitely like this season. The actions and events are much better portrayed especially between Hibiki and Dita. It still has all the action, comedy, drama, and romance that it had back then but will a slight improvement in all the genres. Take a look into Vandread 2, and if you haven't yet look at Vandread 1.

| This was a complete surprise. Compared to first anime, visuals have recieved a HUGE overhaul. nothing to complain there, everything from character design to CGI looks cool and superb for it's time.
Sound acting was good too. Music was ok, nothing to remember however.
Story started off nice, with a HUGE twist on the enemy side ^_^ .. But the ending got whole lot wierd (very last end, that is) What the heck was that boy doing on that mothership etc. But there were way too many posisitive surprises in it to keep it interesting.
Characters remained mostly the same. However, they evolved a LOT. Gone are crazy and silly boys and girls from Vandread1, and here are people who really had their reasons and ambitions. New characters introduced were also very mature and well-drawn. SUPERB!
All in all, i really enjoyed this anime! This is SO much better then first one. Not as much humour as before, but it's good humour whenever it's there. ABSOLUTEY RECOMMENDED!

| It's the same season 1 season 2. Only this time they show us a good ending battle that's why I gave them a boost on animation section. Since the story already been told and don't have any good surpise show us at the end, I gave them a degrade to 8. It's not that this season is bored or anything, it's just we already how it's going to end.. we just see how they done it that's all. Character 9? why? B'Cuz I like the cheesy ending :P
Good ending. Watch it, it's gooood.

| This is MUCH better than the first season. The characters showed a lot more depth and proper feelings in this second installment.
The animation's pretty much unchanged. The battle scenes didn't annoy me as much though, so maybe they've done something to improve the clarity of the battles.
It was a good storyline. Though sometimes I feel a bit let down about how they win battles. It's all a bit like "oh no! we're gonna lose! Grr... I don't want to lose, RAAAAAAR!!!" and the character becomes angry and suddenly his robot becomes ultra powerful. Or, some times "We're all gonna die!!! What do we do? I know, we'll combine into an even more kick ass robot that we never realised we could do before, and then annihlate the whole enemy fleet in one massive power blast!" It's all a bit... far fetched and unrealistic.
Characters, as I said, desplayed a lot more depth. However the stirring speeches they make doesn't always make that much sense when you think back on it. Still, it did seemed deep and philosophical at the time :P
With high running emotions, and lots of twists to the tale, I thoroughly enjoyed this anime. Though the humour still sucked like the first season :(

| Pure goodness. A direct continuation of Vandread, and a GOOD conclusion to the story. Characters continue to be developed, new combinations of vandreads appear, and the OP is so good you might want to sing along!(my highest praise). And the graphics (especially the battle scenes) continue to get better. If you liked vandread, do NOT miss this. One of my 5 favorite anime's ever.

| Somehow, I liked the first stage better. The second stage had potential and initially, I thought it would surpass its predecessor. But strangely, it just died.
Nonetheless, Vandread 2 has to be seen if you saw the first stage. It would just be wrong if you watched half.
Overall, Vandread is just a filler anime. Nice character designs but ultimately nothing special.
As many have noticed, the Vandread series seems to be a delicate balance between ecchi and mecha. However, if you want one of those extremes, just watch Gundam Seed or Love Hina.

| Fantastical Ending. Although this anime tends to be rather draggy at times (esp Stage one), it's really worth watching it all. I was feeling really moody before watching the last two episodes, but after finisheg it, I felt completely revived =P, thanks to Dita and Hibiki. The story line is the same as Stage One, which is to fight the harvest. Heck, that's all they are doing for the whole series. Overall, great animation, especially during the Vantype and Dread fights. Character development is quite good, giving viewers glimpses into the characters' past. Worth a watch.

| A good series to say it short. The blend of CGI and anime is great. Ofcauce you will plaintly see what is computer graphics and what is not, it doesn´t matter though, its spectacular. Watch out for the explosions, they are well done and look realistic.
The leading character Hibiki. A hothead arrogant youth like so many other animes. He just annoyed me to no end! Sigh i guess i´ve had my fill of those type of characters. Instead listen to Dita, her points are more valid, such as: "We are stronger together than alone". That seems to sum up the message for the anime pretty well in my oppinion. That said i liked the rest of the characters very much. Now if we could only get rid of Hibiki... :)
I liked this anime (im such a sucker for space animes) and especially the battles, allthough it doesn´t make much sense to bring a sword into space. But nevermind that it´s mecha so it is to be expected. Not much realism here, but a fun lighthearted show to kick back and relax as you watch. Recommended for everyone.
