| Kodomo no Omocha is the best shoujo manga I have ever read. Though, I haven't really read that much yet. Either way, for now, it holds the top favorite shoujo spot in my collection. Why? Because it rocks. Not only the manga is tenfold better than anime version, but it has a longer storyline as well. No fillers, no time wasting, no lame story arcs - everything moves at extraordinary great pace. Each volume feels satisfying and in that case somewhat long, since, really, a lot of stuff happens through only one volume. Even though this manga is only 10 volumes I was feeling as if I have finished something twice as long, that's the great pace it has. No wonder they decided to span 102 episode series from only the first 7 volumes of this manga. Highly recommended to any manga reading otaku or shoujo fan.

| Kodomo No Omocha is about Sana. It is also about Hayama, Rei, Mama, Tsuyoshi, Zenjiro, Fuuka, Naozumi, and a bunch of others depending on whether you are watching the anime or manga. But Sana is always the lead character. A 6th grader. She goes to school and has some friends but that is where her resemblance to ordinary kids ends. She is a tireless and talented actress, a busybody, a ruthlessly hyper and happy kid, a brave girl put into some harsh life circumstances and then flung into adolesence- and many other personas I'm sure I'm neglecting to mention. She can be utterly hilarious and heart-wrenching depending on the plotline at hand. What impressed me the most is how Sana could manage to be everything and still come off as easy to understand. She could be crazy and still be easy to relate to (but maybe I'm just crazy XD) Some could find her obnoxiously loud, but she has just as many moments where she is ponderously thoughtful too. She has alot of charisma, anybody could warm up to her personality. But at the same time she can usher in some unexpected events that let this series tread into some interesting territory..

| One of the best mangas I've read. Despite it's childish appearence, it's just too good to be dimissed.
