| My god! Tokyo is teared down by a couple of monsters again! Where are the defenders of justice?! Eating hamburgers and arguing who looks best... I present you Hyper Dolls: heroes who just don't care.
What I could make out of the story is that Mew and Mica are from outer space and they can transform to almost naked superheroes. They fight monsters that mysterious organization Chaos sends to wreak havoc in Tokyo. They also attend to school and this boy Akai from their class knows their true identity. There's also Shoko who lives with Akai and has a bit of crush on him and is a bit jealous to Mew and Mica as Akai seems to have a special relationship with them.
Now I know this only a two-part OVA of 50 minutes but they could have provided a little more information who the girls are, why they are fighting, who the Chaos is and why are they trying to destroy Tokyo. Apperantly this OVA is just snipped somewhere from the manga and is supposed to be watched by people who have read it and know what these characters are. At least they keep referring to stuff that is not explained in this OVA. The girls' boss seems to be an alien whose hologram appears from flat, fried objects like pizza and he's the only one can for some reason get the girls to do their heroic acts. They don't even explain how Akai got to know who Mew and Mica were. Only a half-assed flashback was shown that told absolutely nothing. As there is no background story, all we are left with is a couple of fights against monster the girls beat lefthanded and some regular romantic comedy humor. Of course it's a bit amusing to see how the girls actually cause much more damage to the city than monster as they fight. But they are after easy victories after all and using excessive force is the fastest way to victory.
The characters are quite likeable although there's hardly a time to get to know them. Mew and Mica have fun relaxed attitude of "we don't really care" when catastrophes strike. Akai and Choko are quite regular and uninteresting. Character designs look appealing and that's good because most of the entertainment comes from the girls transform sequence that requires them to be naked (surprise) and their battle uniforms leave little to imagination. Animation looks pretty good too. Some happy jpop music is played on the background and as an opening song.
Hyper Dolls is a rather pointless anime. It tells about nothing, has little new to offer (unless you count gigantic gay earthworm as one) and manages to be totally forgettable. You may want to consider this as a rainy days pastime but then again there are a lot of better fanservice/action shows to watch.

| Not a great place to start for the new anime fans, since it consists with many inside jokes on the typical sci-fi/mecha genre. The music on this had a very irritating J-pop song which was funny at first, but made it les appealing as you keep watching it. I can only remember when I rented it, I noticed it got very repetitive on the bland humor it attempted. Can‘t really recommend it for everybody.

| This low-brow B-movie type anime is all about parody of its genre. It is average just like every other anime, but it does have a lot of funny bits here and there. But in the end, there just isn't anything in the content that makes this anime worthwhile or unique to other anime of this genre.
It is a good anime to spend an hour and laugh. It has action, ecchi, etc. with good pacing. I especially love the opening though, that nonchanlant theme always makes me laugh!
The animation is pretty bad even though it is dated. And obviously a lot of its animation are parodies of other famous anime, which makes itself not unique at all.
The story just downright sucks. But it is fun for you to watch and laugh at how bad the plot is. And in a way, this is how the writers want you to think. If you are laughing at this kind of plot, how come you are enjoying other similar mainstream anime?

| This is one those dime a dozen animes. Nothing special about it, no uniqueness whatsoever and no originality. It’s supposed to be a spoof about maho shoujo but it ends up being exactly what they were trying to make fun of. The entire story seemed like it some random couple of episodes taken out of some 100 episode series, where you are told what happened mainly by flashbacks and talks. Overall, decent, but not a most see in any way.

| This anime is so much a parody, it doesn't even make it wose, that it's just ridiculous... It's a total parody to the mahou shojou type, it easelly makes fun of the feeling, which you get watching mahou shojou anime... Main heroes, which don't want to fight for justice, monsters, which do less harm then heroes, ecchi transformation, stupid guy, instead of cute male hero... It's a typical mahou shojou anime, just reversed...
