| People say that this wasn't as good as the first series. In my opinion it is because of our expectations. Towards the end the story it gets really good with lots of emotions and deeper plots. Another one week watching of this series and should be really entertaining.

| after being hit hard by the first season, i have to admit, i started pretty unimpressed. to digimon fans, digimon 02, as a whole is totally worth it
but it won't seem that right way. the way the season starts is not very impressive. they introduce three new characters all unimpressive compared to the original 8 digikids. thank god they had tk and kari. the only thing that kept me watching was the old digidestined (tai, izzy, matt, etc.). its always a breathe of fresh air to see when they become involved, and i think that was the main awesomeness in the first eps of the season.
one thing to get clear: digimon 02 lacks some things. the first season emphasized the love beteween the digimon and their partners, and hence first season wins overall. however this doesnt' mean 02 was a loser.
02 makes up by its ending. the animation/music went up a notch as well. also, ken was an understandable character, and eventually, even davis started to prove brave rather than stupid (he won me over in the end). also the ending was great for closure; season did lack a good sense of closure. i was very impressed with how they pulled it off (besides making 'anonymous' an astronaut. WHAT?!)
in conclusion, this isn't as good as the first season, but is great as a working 'conclusion' season to close wutever the first season didn't do well. having all the old digidestined is a HUGE plus, and i'm hoping digimon season 3 will continue to impress. seeing how all the old characters changed too; awesome
only major complaint: the spider lady and the mummy monster. totally unnecessary and reminded me a little bit of that disaster of a show pokemon, which has jesse and james (the ooo so horrible duo).
you'll have to force yourself to watch a few filler eps in the middle. but towards the end. dynamite. makes up for everything. theme is different for 02. instead of friendship, its more like believing in yourself

| My fav of the digimon seasons by a MILE. Alot of plot development after the first arc. Tons of appearances by the first season characters. Very little of that "monster-of-the-week" stuff, and serious "reallife" implications courtesy of Ken and his "Man-vs-Self" turmoils.
OF course you can call this show cliche, but i think it is done very well, and not just a ripoff of other "happyt slavery" monster animes.
I am basing this review off of a hybrid experience (first half subtitled, second half dubbed). Beats the crap out of pokemon and IMO, the later seasons of Digimon (although Digimon Savers is geating up to be pretty awesome it seems). Worth a watch =). It is long though...

| Most people would think that the first season of Digimon was enough, but this ‘new’ and ‘improved’ series takes a turn for the worst.
If you were a fan of the first season, skip this series and make sure to see “Digimon Tamers”

| Overall its not that bad. Lost interest when the original digidestines got involved because of how the writer changed them.
The writer proved to he has no common sense. He did not refer to the relationships in the first Digimon series. He had a stupid idea of pairing the crest of freindship holder and the crest of love holder without them event having a relationship. Gave a bad influence. He had Matt of the original Digidestines dating 2 girls (Sora and Mimi)at once. Matt and Sora dont have even have a close social relationship to even start dating Matt like Kari, Davis, and T.K. Even if they did start dating there would be no way that would last because their personalities are completely different instead the writer had them have two kids. Ty was the only boy Sora was so close too and and a small incident wouldnt breakup their relationship. Even with Matt and Sora dating Matt doesn't show much interest like he cares for her instead you'll hear stuff like Sora will be here she is running late.
So she took extra care of TK in Digimon just because he is very young. She was like TK's big sister. Ty was like a big brother to TK also. Half the fights Matt and Ty get into are how Matt treats his brother. Matt wasn't showing much concern for his brother's feelings and was much too overprotective in the beginning. Then he got jealous how Ty treated TK and how they got along. So Matt showed more concern for TK. But there is no evidence of where Matt appreciates Sora for it.

| I never really liked this one, its like a big downslide from the first, I had high expectations for this one but mostly were not met. In terms of technical stuff, Digimon 02 is good with the sounds and animation. While still retaining the old saving the world and stuff.
What really got me disappointed with this one was clearly the characters...they were just like there. The only ones I liked among them were T.K and Kari, well that is not saying much for our new cast either. Most of the new ones just plainly annoy especially with Davis being the leader blah and the other two who I can't seem to remember were like meh. An unexplainable experience of disappoointment especially with the newer character. Too bad the older ones never got that much screentime. T.T

| Hm, well this new... eh... season of Digimon is almost like the first really.
Yes, it has a slightly better animation and sound, but the story is basically the same. Just kids with Digimons, fighting...well, mean Digimons.
It's a good thing, new characters are introduced in this one. It's actually refreshing to have new characters to look at, even if it's the same 'Digimon World'.
The problem is that the characters are still kids... so they are still quite annoying, and whiney. Plus, the evil emperor, doesn't succeed in looking evil at all... just idiot. :p
All that changes in Digimon Adventures 02, are the characters and some improvements on the animation and the music departments.
Even so, I still enjoyed the first season more. I actually had to make myself watch this one, sometimes, I had to fight not to jump of the sofa and go... torture myself in less painfull ways I guess :p.
This offers nothing new, and I guess it gets a little boring. There is more interesting anime for kids.

| More Pathetic than the prequel, but a bit more mature.
same concept as the 3 Digimons (except Tamers).

| Just basically, bigger, badder and more powerful, like the power rangers and any other level up series such as dragonball, this is like the Dragonball Z of digimon.
Naturally, as you’d expect, the digimons have gotten more powerful, a lot bigger and the enemies have conveniently followed suit.
This, I thought was still as good as the first one, I like this quite a bit. It’s more of the same, but with new enemies, the transformation has gotten a lot more CG, which actually I hated because it’s CG alright, but it’s one of the worse CGs I have seen and feels out of place (mostly the CG was used during transformations).
This was, at points, more exciting then the original, but like the predecessor, it’s still predictable, but hey, this is a kids show, what else can happen? A few new additions to the gang along the way, one new digimon and one of digi-destine, nothing to major.
A TV show in every sense, down the slightly prolonged fights. But if you like the first, you’ll love this as well, just don’t expect a totally make over that’s all.

| Can we say "overrated", people? I knew we could.
Seriously, though, I really hate this season. The new kids are lame, the new Digimon are boring and stupid-looking (what is V-Mon supposed to be, anyway?!), the new villians suck except for the Digimon Kaizer, the kids from season 1 aren't shown enough, and the animation and writing are only a notch better than the last season. Not even the DNA-evolving idea is interesting, as it's just a ripoff of DragonballZ's fusing.

| Okay...I'll admit I liked Digimon reason was the characters they were really good. The other parts of the series just aren't at top notch...its aimed at younger children and the show tries to create an intricate plot when there is none and such but I don't agree with people who hate digimon totally. There are good parts such as the music and seiyuus and characters especially. The plot does lack a bit but don't just assume that because some people loathe this anime that it is actually that bad. Give it a try first is my opinion

| Well, just for clarification, I'm gonna break this review into two parts:
Part 1 - Review for the Japanese version
This is a bit of a mixed bag for me... I completely feel in love with Digimon Adventure 01, being one of the first things to get me into anime in the first place. The story was amazing, the characters were enthralling, and overall it just provided a highly enjoyable experience. When season 2 debuted, I really liked the way the characters aged yet kept their respective personalities, and I loved the new "Chosen Children" and their digimon counterparts. The whole "Digimon Kaiser" and "Demonic Digivice" thing was great, and I held high expectations... but soon, many many many plot holes developed, and it was clear that this whole series was just an excuse to milk the Digimon franchise. I won't go into the plot holes for fear of spoiling... but, they're pretty obvious - basically, they take all the little restrictions placed on who can enter the digital world, how evolving works, etc. and throws them completely out the window with no explanation. Overall, I really hate to give this a poor review because I love Digimon so much... but we could have lived without this series. Still, I'll give this an 7.5 because their were enjoyable points... and I want to emphasize those simply because nobody else seems to be doing so.
Part 2 - The Saban Dub
As per usual, Saban screws us over. Added awful jokes, terribly chosen voices and changed names, content editing, and changes to make the already hole-filled plot even worse. I will admit that, just as with Digimon 01, I actually quite liked Saban's music and I feel it captured the current moods really well... it's definitely something I'd listen to on a soundtrack CD if it were available. But, the music is the only decent point about this dub... and, of course, no matter how good the dub music is, nothing beats the music that the original creators had chosen.

| Out of all the seasons of Digimon, the worst. They just found the first season to be successful and decided to make a sequel but couldn't think of what it should be about, so decided to make a "future of digimon" theme and went with it. Wasn't a bad idea but it went no where.
The only thing good about it is the cameos of the old cast popping in every now and then.

| Well season one was okay enough to look at season two and I guess it was not bad, not that great. Their's new Digimon, new trainers, and everyone from season one. Talk about character overkill. Like the first season the sub is better then the dub(no surprise). But having so many characters in an anime kind of kills it and you wonder if the next season will have new people and everyone from season 1 and 2(I'm glad it didn't).
And now that I look at it(due to a reviewer) Daisuke on the dubbed version does seem to be, well, not their and they turn him into something new.

| Ack whoops put season 1 review for 02 ^_^;;
Okaay, this has to be my favorite season of the Digimon series, but I have to say that they did a bit less work here :\.
This show had a really really, and I mean, really crappy ending. They had rushed it and it was just plain stupid. It totally nearly ruined Digimon 02.
I really liked the idea of continuation although, where the old DigiDestined are older now, but they aren't focused as much. Instead, they added four more characters, and continued a more character development of Takeru and Hikaru from Season 1. I really liked how the characters relationships with eachother really grow. The dub, however, was really horrible. They stuck in corny jokes and they bashed my favorite character Daisuke. What was really immature about the writer, was that he even mentioned in the magazine that he hated that character and really wanted anything against him. -_-;;; I'm really glad he stopped doing the scriptwriting in the last few episodes.
I think this season had more comedy-relief, rather than last season (they were serious nearly the whole time), and they actually had nice filler (well not really episodes) like the Christmas episode.
I thought they went a little too fast with Daisuke and Ken's relationships with eachother, in the original version, Daisuke had told him, "If you go now, and never return, I'll regret for the rest of my life!" then he starts explaining how maybe Ken doesn't care about how Daisuke feels about him, cause Ken was doing something suicide O_o;;
I think there was something lost here, that it didn't have in season 1, but a pretty good series. Although, probably in the last 5 or 6 episodes, it was really poor and I believed they've could've done a lot better.
Yet again, the original is waay better. The music is also kicking ass in the original.
