| So before I decided to write a review on Crayon shin-chan I decided to watch quite a lot of episodes simply to reboot my memory of this fun and really unique anime.
First of the graphics are suppose to look the way they are, I mean you should expect it from theb tiitle because it has the word "Crayon" in it. Crayon shin-chan is simply meant for fun. It is an anime that can actually take you back say when you were a young kid of the age of five just like Shinosuke(Shin-chan). When I watch shin-chan and his friends sometimes doing stuff at their age I remember doing the same stuff they do, mostly Shin-chan though.
Animation - Ok I felt the fairest way to rate the animation department was to not rate it at all. If you don't like the style in which Crayon Shin-chan was drawn then you'll probably not watch it, actually I dont think you need to watch this then. So that covers that. The animation is suppose to be badly drawn as you can tell because anyone of us can draw that. The drawing just adds to the humor. The characters' all have their own deformed and quite unique look.
Sound - Well lets just say this department is one really unique one. Shin-chan's voice is the coolest and well distinguished voice probably in all anime, yes that's right I said, " In all of anime". The other voices are good also. The voice acting is overall really fuuny and damn good. There isn't much memorablr background music but it is pretty good.
Story - The stories are really funny and not continuous.They consist of a behavior that Shin-chan and sometimes his friends do and act like. You can watch this and say in your mind, "hey I use to do that", or, "I did that stuff when I was a youngin"., which. After saying that the possibility of you doing atleast oner of the things is prettty high, hell I've done a lot of the same things.
Characters - Every single one of the characters' that so happen to exist in the anime are all likeable weather it be the the coolest little 5 year old ever "shinchan" or one of his friends, his mom or dad, or even his dog by the way thats cool.
Value - The values of this are great. I will definitely rewatch some episodes again soon.
The collectible value is well, you really can't collect them simply beacause you won't find the series' but if I could I would buy them.
* I recommend this to any one who has an easy going sense of humor and who will not"bitch" about animation even if that so anime is suppose to have the style.

| My friends are always discussing about their childhood shows they watched like "Teenage Mutant Turtles", "He-man", "Transformers" and the likes.
But they all glance at me with confused expressions when I mention "Crayon Shin-chan"
I grew up with this anime, and it was my absolute favourite show. I only had a couple of episodes but it was so damn funny I re-watched them hundreds of times.
Don't expect any great visuals or greater story, this is after all focused for the younger audience and those factors aren't really that popular here.
What really shines about this show are the characters, they are portrayed in the most wierdest, stupidest, funniest, awkwardest way you can imagine. Shin-chan a 5-year old boy who spends his freetime embarrasing his parents in any possible way, is downright hilarious to watch. The way he deal with things nails down the price for funniest character ever. The music sets the mood perfectly and the seiyuu's are very good. I don't think I can recall any episode I didn't find funny, and this series is still going strong since it started in 1992.
Definitely a must watch for anyone who likes a good laugh.

| This anime is DA BOMB!!! The funniest anime I have ever saw. I watched this anime since I was 8. The funniest jokes from this anime is from Shinnosuke, a 5 year old boy who is curious about sex and gender. I have to laugh so hard when he showed his penis and do his famous elephant dance. It's also funny when Shin-chan got busted by his mother when he tried on his mom's underwears and played around with her stockings and lip sticks. To see how Shin-chan's mom how to discipline him is also funny.
Don't expect anything good in here. Just like Doraemon, different 12-minutes episodes have different stories.
This is sure the one just to made for the laugh.
Rated mature, however. Parents should guide their children when kids are watching this anime.
If I can recall, some psychologists did a research about this anime. "Shin-chan is just curious about sex and gender." Since parents and others do think that Shin-chan is not normal, or he is crazy, I guess the psychologist proved them wrong. He's definitely normal, but needs parental guidances.
I wonder how Shin-chan grows up. I think that he can be a well-educated adult (If his parents know what to do.).

| Man I first saw this anime when I was 7. Man it was the first movie that drew me in. With his little Zou Dance (Elephant Dance) and mooning action. I couldn't stop laughing! This anime never fails in making you laugh. Yes the animation and character design are crude but the story makes it up. Just finished watching the 2003 movie, that was funny too. It didn't lose that concept. Not to mention the many many episodes that was aired. I believe it was last aired in 2003. From 1992-2003 That's alot of episodes to find. So good luck finding all the episodes!GREAT ANIME. EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED

| *bwahahaha* Leute haltet mich für niveaulos aber ich finde Shin-chan zum totbrüllen komisch, die Gags sind der Hammer und öfters unter der Gürtellinie als so manch einem lieb ist *lol* Hier in Deutschland sind die meisten Sprüche zwar leider etwas entschärft aber trotzdem vergeht keine einzige Folge in der ich nicht fast in Tränen ausbreche vor lachen und ich habe mich selbst bei South Park nicht so hart beeumelt. Die Animationen sind zwar aller unterstes Niveau aber ich geb dennoch 5 weil ich das Gesamtrating nicht runterziehen will da Shin-chan ein gutes Rating verdient hat für all die Bauchschmerzen die ich vor lachen bekommen habe, außerdem rockt der Soundtrack und ist auch zum wegschmeissen. Shin-chan ist aber sicherlich nicht für jeden geeignet, prüde Emanzen zum Beispiel sollten lieber Abstand halten ^_-
