| let's volt in!!! i dont know if it was a bad innuendo from the 70's... the thing is this anime was actually banned in the philippines for "inciting people to rebellion". so we never got to watch the final episodes of this classic (until recently) and i have got to say, it's got a very good ending (few anime have this quality).

| This was my favorite anime when I was a kid, although Combatra was more popular in my neighborhood. The fights are ridiculously predictable, but every mecha fights were like that back in the days. Fans of outdated mechas should definitely watch Voltes V, the best of it's kind.

| Ahh the memories of great Mecha series' from late 70s to 80s. Voltes V is one of many mechas that I have watched as a kid, and probably my favorite one, even though I never had chance to watch the ending. Like other traditional old school mecha, such as Combatra and Voltron, Voltes 5 features a powerful robot assembled by 5 separate ships. I loved the personalities of each pilots, the shoulder portion vehicle pilot was my favorite. Trying to find their missing father, these 5 siblings(they were siblings right?) fight the evil lord who's ship looks like a skull. A great classic anime if you ask me. One of the best of that era. The scores are based on the standards set 20-25 yeras ago, especially visual scores.
