| It seems almost less than average for me. It's not bad, but it could be a lot better. I didn't find this one too funny or interesting. It often becomes too repetitive with some humor, and the storyline didn't have much to offer. Characters were cute, but were really less memorable to make themselves stand out. And it doesn't have the competitive excitement for a typical sports anime, it often becomes laid back with a lot of comedy. This would be mostly enjoyed for people who like those similar type of anime such as Tenchi or El-Hazard, with making it sports related.

| I hardly belive people actually liked the TV series moree than this OVA presentation, the TV series are ok up until half of it, the other half sucked in my opinion, not to mention the incredibly stupid ending of it that ruins all of it.
The OVA is an excellent replacement for the deacaying second half of the TV series, and has a good ending for a change.

| (after watching the whole series)
Wow! They sure picked up the pace for the next two-thirds of this series. It also helped that I watched the Japanese version, as opposed to the awful dub, for the rest of the series. Those whol will sports anime and cute girls should see this!
(after 2 episodes)
Oh rapture...another mediocre video game to anime adaption. In this case, though, half of the characters from the original video game are gone, such as Ichino and Jessica (who did later show up in the Victory tv series a year later). Mix with characters who are more cutesy than interesting, an annoying heroine, and barely-OVA quality animation and music, and only 6 OVAs to tell a story, and you get yourself something that's not quite at the top of other AIC works such as El Hazard and Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki.
Watch the tv series instead. It's longer, more fun, and has more interesting, though sightly more stereotypical, characters.

| Nice anime for sports fans, with some serious episodes. Worth seeing, and maybe worth buying DVD.
However, there are several mistakes in physics.
1) Using that 3-stage rocket in 4999 year(However it maybe a tradition to launch newcomers of Academy with such rockets).
2) Such a very slow crush of that piece of tube. It doesn't matter, how slow it started to fell down, it at least has speed about 10 km/s (I don't remember real value of speed required to launch sattelite on geostationary orbit).
3) If Kris felt on lane at 9G gravity, she will not just cripple a leg, but at least cripple all leg bones into small pieces or even turn into bloody mess, so it would be much more simple to clone new body for her, than to cure crippled one.

| Ah, the OVA series that actually came out before the TV series did. If one questions which is better TV or OVA, go for the TV series.
The OVa is acceptably animated and tells the 2nd part (out of 3) that the TV series goes into. The situations are cliched, there is a good dose of humor, and you do see the ending coming a mile away.
Not bad, but it is a piece of fluff. A lot of the character building that the TV series does is missing here and one gets a hollow feeling from watching it. It isn't a complete waste of time watching this show, but there are many better things to see.

| Almost the same as the TV series (there are some differences but the story is generally the same) but much more hasty in the pace of the story thus character development is weakened and the end of the story is not told. Still worth to watch especially if you don't have the time to watch Battle Athletes Victory. I did not calculate into my ratings the fact that I think that Akari Kanzaki is a whining irritating idiot and whenever she spoke I had an urge to stop watching.
