| I haven't actually watched the final instalment of 3x3 eyes as much as the first 4 episodes (it was damned hard to track down the videos!). Thank heavens for DVDs and having a complete boxset ^_^
This is a great continuation of the first instalment, although I never actually realised until more recently that so many years had passed between the making of the 2, as the continuation follows on perfectly and although there is a major change to the basic storyline, it's still another very thrilling experience to watch.

| This OVA was made in 1995. Till then the manga had reached volume 18, so many new elements and characters were introduced and the story of Sazan Eyes became much more exciting. Unfortunately the producers decided to continue the story from where they had let it last time. So it continues and covers up to volume 5 of the manga.
Basically this is the same as the first OVA, this time with better animation and music but more mediocre story. I liked the former more though.
I felt dissapointed since an OVA doesnt need to stick with the previous one. But the producers probably thought of the 3x3 Eyes videogames for the Saturn and the Playstation to extend the story more.

| Well made continue to 3x3 eyes, Brings the story to the end, with very original way.
Story is continue to 3x3 eyes. After looking Pai (when she got lost in first OVA), Yakumo finally founds him, but she has lost her memory, and so they go together to ancient land of sanjiyans to recover her memory. This time the story is lot more deeper and keeps you on it's grasp 'till the end.
The character development is lot more better, and you can really see how the characters have turned out from the first OVA.
Animation is sharp and has it's own style, so you can enjoy the serie without crying about the drawing.
Sounds are keeping the same style as in the first OVA.
I recommend you, just watch it! :D

| Most people will say oav2 suck or blows ass... but that's not truth. OAV have no real ending, even though I was disspointed, I think of this oav as it was just another extra or filter to the great series.
This one begin when Pai lost her memory and become just a regular high school girl.. or so she thought. Yakumo finally found her and try to explain thing out... but found out Pai's memory had been seal. So, both of them left their friend and family (haha ironic isn't it, it the same thing with Yakumo in oav1)and go search for powerful prist who know how to undo the spell. As they travling together, like the last oav they fall in love all over again. Ther'e just a little surpise at the end and that's was good enough for me. The real story hasn't end. Real Pai fall asleep, and Yakumo still wondering around -.-
Even the ending is bad. I still enjoy this kickass anime.

| Continuation of the 4 episodes from before (or so it seems). Now... Pai looks much more domestic with her memory all wiped out and her eye sealed. But on the plus side, she seems to be more human... rather than kind of brainless.
Yakumo now learns how to fight a bit in the 4 years in between the first explosion. Because of this, this anime is a lot more enjoyable, rather than Yakumo being a weak guy full of determination alone. It also makes this anime more action oriented than the previous episodes.
What I said about 3x3 eyes applies exactly to this.
However, rather than a story focused on finding the Statue of Humanity, 3x3 Eyes Shin further develops the story of Pai and Yakumo's relationship, as well as digging up the truth of Pai's past ... as well as her current situation
If you had some questions about why Pai set out on her journey, or the history of her race, then this will answer those questions... however the end kind of leaves something unfulfilled, you'll understand on the last episode. This episode really made me go.. "HUHHHHHHHHHHHH?????!!!!!!!!! NO WAY, THAT SUCKS"
Makes you think how good it is to enjoy some sides of humanity.
To enjoy this short series, you have to overlook the small flaws and just lay back and enjoy the story. I particularly thought many parts to be pretty hilarious because of its silliness haha. (I guess after 4 years of loneliness, people would tend to turn to magazines)

| I thought it was better than the first ova. Most of the feel from the previous ova remains here, and there was an added something, not really sure what it was. We get to see more about Pai's legacy and we learn more about the story, but the ending pretty much tells you that nothing that happened here really changed anything, characters relations'-wise.

| There are some changes, but I very strongly feel about those two OAVs being one. Changes are really minor, and I strongly suggest You to watch it as one OAV - 7 episodes long.
That is my first (and ONLY) review without feeling up "More" section. :-)
Everything is the same.
Like Bluechees here wrote AGAIN before me: "Pai.. Yakumo... Pai... Yakumo" - they do like it repeated several times and on several occasions in one episode. Still. Well - You can't have everything
The only change is - here they made an ending and they made it well. For that - a point higher. That's all. If You want more information, read my review on earlier OVA (3x3 Eyes).
I truly conside both OVA as one 7 episode series. And I strongly sugest You to watch it as one. This way they both get better.

| This picks up right where 3x3 Eyes left off. And these 2 OAVs should really be reviewed as one. Thus I gave it the same score as I did for the first OAV.
Whatever feelings you had after watching the first OAV, you'll probably feel the same about this 2nd installation. Same top notch, fluid, detailed animation. Same "Yakumo...Pai...Yakumo...Pai...Yakumo...Pai!" irritation.
The difference is of course, this OAV ends the story. It certainly does a decent job ending it. This simple story ended with a simple ending. What more could you ask for?
Overall, a decent series. But anime standards always increase. It's now 2004, I'm sure we've seen better anime and have growing expectations.

| I still had a shimmer of hope that this would end up being a good series after the original four episodes. It started out alright with the reintroduction of the characters and the slightly better animation. I was also happy to see the male lead actually putting up a good fight. I really thought it'd be okay. Oh well. These three episodes were just as boring as the originals, and worsened by annoying bad guys that won't stop laughing, a cliche theme of good vs. evil, and a pile of unimaginative plot twists. Not to mention even more unneeded gore. I'm really sick of good vs. evil animes where it boils down to, "I'm stronger than you. -- NO, I'm stronger than YOU! -- No, I have a new ability, I'm stronger than YOU! ... again... -- NO, I was holding back, now I'm the strongest. BWAHAHAHAHA!" Blaaaaaaah... bad.

| The second installment of 3x3 Eyes starts from a totally different point where the first one ended (Like someone could predict after reading the description.). Four years have passed (IRL, too. Lucky!).
Animation uses the same oldish style as before. I somehow tolerated the over-bloody massacres in the first part, but though it sounds impossible, they have been able to even increase the amount of blood in this one (And of course it's nice to whack someone 'dead' a million times when he's invincible!). I don't know if someone thinks it's a good thing, but to me, some scenes seemed really messed up and even ridiculous because of the excess amount of blood. The message definitely becomes clear even with no blood at all.
The background music is very much same stuff as before. In some mountain scenarios the music fit absolutely perfectly in the background, those few moments created very, very enjoyable experience. Also major improvements can be heard in Hayashibara's voice acting, no more of those too childish bursts (Guess the character has grown out of those in four years :).
The number of the main characters has been limited merely to 2 (Well maybe 3-4, whatever). Also one of the improvements I acknowledge, because it's kind of waste to introduce too much characters in this kind of short series and leave their details to a minimum level. I liked the characters and how they were presented. They all had their good and bad points, but I think they were still good enough to get 9.
The story. The beginning is absolutely great after seeing the first 3x3 Eyes. Totally reversed. And that Yakumo-dude gets to pay back kind of everything Pai made him go through before. Revenge is an absolutely amazing thing ;) After the slow beginning, things get quite messy with the bloody scenes and all. Still, the plot seems to advance efficiently all the way to the great end. Steady times, when laughing and joking around are acceptable things, and more serious parts have been separated much better in this sequel. Also, I don't know if it's worth noting (I was drunk when watching this, so I paid attention to some irrelevant things, I guess), but there are some interesting details in characters' eyes. You know, most of the women have those basic anime eyes, males have somewhat more normal eyes and Yakumo's eyes are mostly closed (looks kinda stupid). Also many of the enemies' eyes have been covered with something. But yeah, irrelevant.
If you've watched the first part of 3x3 Eyes, I guess you would like to watch this one, too. In case you haven't seen the first one, I recommend to watch that first and only then moving on to this one. This doesn't only continue (and kind of complete) the story, but it also gives some details what happened in the end of the first part. And what a great continuum it makes.

| I've watched 3x3 Eyes + Shin as if they were one OVA, well the story was quite okay but apart from that I thought 3x3 Eyes was not really special. It's dated and you will notice that.

| This one is much better than its predecessor. The story’s much deeper and better and doesn’t feel rushed at all, despite its shortness. The animation is much better also, though still extremely bloody. Yakumo bleeds enough blood to supply the Red Cross for a year. Pai is also much better in this one; she’s no longer a naïve idiot. And Yakumo’s gotten better too (he can fight!). The story definitely ends in this series, though it is a unique ending (that’s the best word I can come up with). It’s definitely worth a watch.

| 3x3 Eyes took a while to get to me, but when it did, it snagged me hard. I was fairly unimpressed with the first 2 episodes, but by the time the third one rolled around I started to have the feeling that I was watching something really good. By the time the 2nd set of OVAs rolled around I was an addict. The story is excellent mix of mystical adventure and romance, and blessed with excellent animation. The action sequences are particularly well done, with fluid animation, good use of camera angles, and some really cool ideas. My only complaint is that they didn't make any more of this. One of my favorites.

| A nice sequel/conclusion to the original 3x3 Eyes. It's very much in the same vein, but has its own pluses and minuses as well.
