| Basically, this is a Sunrise show parodying Sunrise shows. Created and planned by the team who did Mai-HiME and etcetera, The Girl Who Leapt Through Space is a comedic satire of having a ditzy heroine saving the world. It has sexy ladies, talking colonies (and dropping them), plot twists like never before, unmemorable mechas, and lots of EMO and ANGST. Similar to Xenoglossia, its ridiculousness costs its popularity, but it is still highly entertaining for all the cliches the Mai- team can come up with!

| Yeah, the OP is by ALI PROJECT. Although some people may not like songs by them, I think this OP really fits the anime. The anime is mostly random and unpredictable, things happen that surprise you.
It is very funny at times, with some references to other anime. So far, I have only watched 12 episodes but the story has got me hooked. There is actually quite intense action in each episode and each of them end with a nice cliffhanger. But so far, there is one episode that is completely surprisingly and will make you go "what the". You may like it or hate it, but that is for you to find out.
