| I have very little to add regarding this season. Compared to the other seasons, it is pretty much "a lot of the same". Despite being a minor leaguer, Honda Goro manages to become a Japanese representative as he battles the world's teams.
Unlike his previous seasons, Goro doesn't really meet as much difficulty, nor does he really improve that much. I didn't feel that edge of the seat gripping-ness in each episode, and it really played through quite smoothly. No real surprises, even with Sato's sister appearing out of the blue. Probably has to do with the execution.
Overall, it is just following Goro as he faces off against Gibson Jr. and Team USA. I'm starting to wonder whether I should watch this series anymore, because I miss Goro's little league times when he threw out his arm, or the times when he was in High School as he built that field on top of the school's roof. Those are moments that I miss. Right now, its' just like watching Captain Tsubasa ... just watching Japan play against other teams. Not bad, but not spectacular.
