| Capu 2 continues the Rosario to Vampire series. Now it becomes a family affair as the parents of all the people involved get involved with things. The parents of all the girls visit Youkai academy, and Tsukune goes home in one episode, and there the girls meet his mother.
Please also note that there is a false episode 13 going around the internet. It is actually an exact copy of episode 12, someone just numbered their episode wrong.
*** Also be warned: Spoilers abound in this review. ***

| The second season of Rosario to Vampire gives us more of the same thing, instead of following the more dark and serious storyline from the manga, the writers have decided to write their own stories for the anime.
Capu2's animation is slightly better than the first season, with a crisp style and clear drawings, new for this season is their somewhat chibi moments which is very cute. It still suffer from consistency issues, although better than last time, its last episode really have some huge issue with the character drawings. One huge problem for the TV release was the unnecessary censorship on the panties shots of the girls, as an ecchi anime, it is weird to see censorship like that, especially on seemingly "harmless" panties shots. But I do suspect those will be eliminated on the DVD releases.
Sound continues to be a solid effort from the voice cast and Nana Mizuki reprise her role not only as the lead female, but also continues both the OP and ED theme songs for the series, and this OP is another catchy one, edging out the already excellent OP theme from last season.
The story is bad in the sense that it contains its own stories and not follow 90% of the manga story arc. Usually I have no problem with it, but there are a few episodes where it has no resemblance to what the manga had established at all. While the last 2 episodes story arc is perhaps the high point of the series, it does post some continuous issue that was not explained, like the weird aura the Tsukune has, although it is explained (and the main theme) of the manga, to have it here out of random just does not make any sense at all.
The characters hardly got developed, we still get the usual harem treatment where all the girls are infatuated with the main hero, which is both useless and hopeless. The new intro to Moka's sister, Kokoa is a mixed bag, as she was very one-dimensional and only served as a comic-relief than anything. Although the end we get to see a little bit of development in the alternate Moka, it does feel a bit forced and not like what is consistently shown from the anime (the manga counterpart does show her feelings a few times, but never physically like in the anime), which to me, feels a bit too sudden and under-developed.
Overall, another disappointing second season, it is another mediocre harem anime, and it feels like they just stick the Rosario sticker on some generic storyline rather than a faithful creation of its manga.

| Despite my raid review on the first season, R+VII proves that if energy is focused on only one task, the result will be superior than if that effort gets derailed by other things. In this case, GONZO decided to go all out and make this a fanservice comedy, nearly obliterating any strings left attached to the original manga. In season two, they bring the new characters featured from the manga (the girls' mothers and Cocoa) and only have one serious arc at the end that resembles the manga's final arc of the first season. The show is best viewed in fast forward unless you get hard on the voice acting (I only play normal speed when Mizore talks).
Animation: Improved budget, more fanservice shots, and an awesome opening sequence. On that topic, GONZO seems to blow half their budget on the opening sequences only, leaving the rest of the series with shit. +1 from before.
Sound: DISCO LADY, DISCO LADY; WITH EMOTION, WITH EMOTION. +1 from before.
Story: What story? At least I got some laughs out of it. +1 from before.
Character: Cocoa is more amusing in the anime than the manga, mostly because of a more focused effort by GONZO. +1 from before.
Value: Well, I did watch this and found it better than the first season. +1 from before.
Enjoyment: This review is short, and so was the total watch-time I had for this shit. My Mizore folder is quite good. +2 from before.

| OK this review is only on the first 6 episodes since they are the only ones out at the moment. Also this is an add on to Rosario to Vampire so if you haven't seen that yet, I would suggest you first go watch that first. OK on to the show.
This anime doesn't seem to break the mold in any way. It starts off just as the Rosario to Vampire ends and adds one new character, Shuzen-san. She is Akashiya's little sister and does little to move any real plot. This is a harem though so is there ever any plot?
The animation is very nice and well done. I have enjoyed the back grounds and secondary characters as well. It is a much more modern look anime which I like also.
The sound gets a six only because I like the voice actors they chose (I watched it in sub). The music on the other hand was horrible. You have this techno-ish intro that is completely out of place and the end music is just average. What completely kills it is the music in the show... Its bad.
The story is a little better than the prequel. Why you ask? Easy not every episode ends like the power rangers. You know what I mean, the cross falls off and now you have Miss Scary Vampire to save the day. It still does happen a lot though mind you but this is definitely a step up on the story. You also get a little more information on some of the characters which is nice but I would have hoped for more. The idea of mystical creatures in a harem has a lot of potential, but you just feel that the potential is missed.
Character, let me say this straight off, I don't like the "hero" or the heroine" much at all in this series. They are boring, flat, have no depth what-so-ever, and very cliché. I hate seeing pink hair on a girl in anime because I know exactly how she is going to act from the first episode. Lame, and the hero, still can't take care of himself and always seems to slip at just the right time to grab that freaking cross. Anyway the supporting cast is way better. Kurono and Shirayuki steal the show as always, they are great add ons to this average anime. Also Morioka Gen'ei is not in the show and that takes a huge shot on the like-ability factor since I really thought he was funny.
I like harem so I liked this anime. I wish someone could make a harem that had some decent story and good character development though. It is not my favorite but I watched it and enjoyed doing so. If you liked the first season of the show don't miss this, but if you didn't like it, just let this one go.
