| I actually really like this anime! I've watched it twice now (once dubbed, once subbed) and it has a reasonable premise, an intriguing conclusion and pretty decent characters.
I think where a lot of people go wrong is saying it's a continuation of Outlaw Star, or because it's a side story within the realms of Outlaw Star, it's going to be like it!
Best thing is to watch it as is and forget the references to the latter.

| The story is unique and has a nice plot twist. It has also funny scenes on how May Fong deals with some characters.
But it failed to make a smooth flow to the development of the story. It seems like each episodes is crammed. Too many things was forced to fit in one episode. Like one episode about the romance of the right hand man of May Fong was done in one episode. The story also fails to answer some of the minor questions such as where do they get the funds to keep protecting transportation ships from space pirates for free. This could have been better if it could have made the flow of the story smoother.
The development of the characters, except for the main character May Fong, was not given enough background information.

| Despite the fact that you get to see the ship launched about a billion times and that the villain is obvious from the very beginning, I thought this anime was rather enjoyable. Nice and short, no drawn out filler. You even get a nice twist at the end. If you've run out of new stuff to watch, give this one a try. It's not stunning, but unless you're an anime elitist, it can be entertaining.

| I think everyone watches this because they liked Outlaw Star and think it might have that same feel. Sorry you got duped that way too. It had all the right ingredients to be good but it wasn't. Maybe if so much time wasn't wasted with that format recipe then they could of delivered the story a bit better and that would of probably made the difference in just making it an official ripoff from its own series or something nice to have expanded on.

| First several episodes made me thinking that this anime is made for youngest kids, with its repeating scenes and pathetically heroic music. Later series evolved into something more serious, but still lame and usually boring. Plot looks as if combined from several other anime fragments clumsily stitched together. There is plenty of fun-service but it's centered only on one main character. This character, Li Meifon, is probably the best part of this series, very cute and dynamic (and nicely dressed) captain of Angel Links spaceships (and something more, but you'll have to discover it for yourself). Another more or less good part is the space battles. Ending is somehow strange for this kind of anime. I'd say it's not the best interstellar adventure I've seen.

| I'm not even a big fan of Outlaw Star, which I consider somewhat overrated, but this thing is not a good show. Anime is part visual medium, and I simply hate the character design in this show. Especially Mei Fon. And I know I ain't the only person who is getting tired of seeing a bunch of space operas full of fan service. Animation is good, but the battles in this show don't compare to Outlaw's quality nor variety. And somehow, this thing manages to borrow from Outlaw's storyline and make it even more dull. You can do much better than this if you're looking for quality scifi.

| Angel Links isn't as bad as some would have you believe. It starts off well enough with the suprise of an animal living inbetween Meifon's tits that turns into a sword. That's about the only great thing about the show though. Even though it's set in the Outlaw Star universe, it doesn't seem like it as I don't recall kill-all cannons from Outlaw Star. I wanted to see grappler battles and all the good stuff, but instead found a poorly written story with pointless battles. If you're an Outlaw Star fan this isn't for you.

| This anime is so patheic, it's sad. It reminds me of a magical show, most of the episodes are in the same format: Girl travels around space; talk that lets to ecchi; battle; then firing a big cannon to always finish them off. All they need is a mascot and it's a magical space show to me. Oh wait! They kind of do, a sword thing comes out of her breast and that's how she fights. Personally this show isn't ever good enough for fanservice. And the the main girl is suppose to be 16, but she's built for a Playboy porno, but I guess that's the wonders of anime.

| poor example of having two storylines set in the same universe (refering to this and outlaw star). angel links is 13 episodes of the same boring cirle of events.
