Zettai Karen Children follows the story of three super powered psychic girls and their life in a government agency that has an awful lot of money. The series is light hearted and is surprisingly funny.

Zettai Karen Children is a 51-plus-1 recap episode comedy anime with plenty of action, drama, romance, and pretty much everything else. All of this is presented in a highly entertaining and unique way, making this one of the best received anime of 2008.

From the makers of Hayate the Combat Butler, Zettai Karen Children has very unique and highly detailed character designs. The frequent use of computer animation combined in its detailed scenes make the anime an absolute joy to watch. As with Hayate the Combat Butler, Zettai Karen Children features frequent cameos from other popular animate studio Synergy SP has been involved with, adding to both the humour and enjoyment of the anime.

Zettai Karen Children has a cast containing some of the strongest and most popular cast of voice actors to date, who also perform the various theme songs in the anime. As a result, it has awesome theme songs and brilliant voice acting. The number of background tunes does feel lacking at times, and are sometimes repeated overly frequent. However, the music fits the mood of the scene every time, and not once does this become a nuisance.

The storyline of Zettai Karen Children covers a wide and diverse range of genres. Although it is a comedy at its heart, the anime addresses several major social issues, albeit in a highly fictional context. Zettai Karen Children also contains several moments of excellent humour, although given the pace of the anime, the humour appeared is short and rapid. Being 51 episodes in length, there are sadly a number of lacklustre and filler-like scenes and entire episodes. However, the vast majority of Zettai Karen Children is highly entertaining, and well worth watching.

The reason behind the outstanding voice actors present in Zettai Karen Children is due to the unique and stunning cast of characters in the anime. Zettai Karen Children features an incredibly large number of characters, and every one of them is spectacular to watch. Several cameos from other popular anime make appearances, as well as real-life look-a-likes. Character development is also plentiful, making the anime exciting to follow and great fun to watch.

Zettai Karen Children, like Hayate the Combat Butler, is an extremely entertaining anime. Although there are areas where it falls short, it easy compensates with a brilliant cast, animation, voice acting, and soundtrack. A sequel to Zettai Karen Children is on the way, following immediately from where this series ended, promising even more development to its already top-notch cast. I would recommend anyone looking for something enjoyable to check out Zettai Karen Children, and I for one can't wait for the next season to be released!
