| A painfully cliched piece of work. The Telepathy Girl Ran follows the age old shonen formula of "average cheerful, and headstrong girl encounters a person-slash-adversary-slash-later-becomes-friend who reveals that the main character has a unique power that is obscenely strong but unrefined or untrained".
I could not bring myself to enjoy watching this series, as unfortunately it's so full of cliches, gaping plotholes, and stock characters, including a single character who speaks kansai-ben, a tsundere, the childhood friend, and the slightly stupid, but headstrong main character.
The exploration of the theme that everyone has a dark past but can be overcome by trusting in others, making friends, and looking towards the future is also also a passe one.
Overall, give it a pass, unless you're looking to kill some braincells.
