| A very mysterious anime with revelations coming in slowly. The pace is pretty slow, but this is nicely sustained through the melancholy and mysterious atmosphere pervading throughout the series. Something is definitely amiss, and our main character, Shin, is clueless, yet somehow central to it.
This anime balances the everyday and the actions nicely. I think the lack of intense action is one strong point of PERSONA, as it doesn't abuse by too much action, and instead focusses more on character development and interaction. I also like the love between the three siblings. It's very real, and each brother has different personality to complement each other. More between them becomes understandable as revelations reveal their past.
It's been a while since I watched something mysterious with gushing emotions, well, it's gushing in a way that's been suppressed. Watching PERSONA has that effect on me, as of emotions being suppressed.
The anime, on the whole, errs on the tragic and melodramatic side. Well executed I'd say. And its feel is similar to that of "Zegapain".
Story-wise, a bit confusing, but not too confusing. A rewatch should make things clearer.

| This show was so very very confusing and yet I loved it.
I guess it depends on what mood you're in as to how you take it. I went in watching it knowing absolutely nothing about what it was about. I found it strange and confusing so I kept watching it.
The way it seemed to run two separate story lines and the fact it left you guessing about what people were thinking and what was good and bad.

| First of all, this must be one of the most annoying anime's ever created. Secondly, it will take pure dedication, love and anyone who has played the Persona game to make any sense of what you are seeing.
Aside from sharing the same name as the game, this high budget anime has nothing else to do with the game. The persona concept is there, and there where the similarities end.
