| Rosario + Vampire had al ot of potential but totally missed the boat.
The series starts off introducing the characters in the series in the most cliche ways. All the while it's not annoying but you can tell they didn't put their full effort into it.
The show can be funny, nothing special though.
As far as the sound and animation. The sound is ok but sometimes the animation is great and others it's bad.
The characters aren't really developed at all and when it's done it's nothing special.
Rosario + Vampire is mediocre at times but the last 3 or 4 episodes were great. It's what the show should of been more like. Tons of actions and dark themes.
All in all though it was ok but nothing special. Oh and tons of fanservice.

| The main problem with Rosario to Vampire is that it isn't like its manga counterpart at all. It is just a dumbed down ecchi anime that contains none of the depth of its manga version.
The animation is good as always, and the style is typical of GONZO animation. But since it's shown in Hi-Def form, it is sometimes easy to spot the inconsistencies in quality from episode to episode.
The sound is decent, with Nana Mizuki leading the group, and other big names such as Kikuko Inoue and Rie Kugimiya. But it was a somewhat lacklustre performance IMHO. Though I do not blame it on the seiyuu, but more on the uninspired script and storyline.
The main problem in this anime is its storyline and character development. To the casual fan, it would seem RV is a random fantasy ecchi anime, which if you're judging by this anime alone, it would seem so. All 13 episodes there aren't any major character development besides introducing its "harem", and the story written to fit its ecchi genre than anything else. But for the fans who have followed the manga, it would be apparent that the manga is much dark themed, lots more action and a much more developed background that elevates itself from the usual ecchiness in this crowded genre. So it is a big letdown to see the anime form in this state.
Overall a big dissappointment for me, but if you're a casual fan who wants some ecchi anime to pass the time, it's okay to check this series out.

| Rosario + vampire is the story of Aonno Tsukune, a normal high school student. He transfers by accident to a school where everyone else is a monster, and has to live with them.
It seems like it's trying to be Tenjou Tenge with monsters in it.

| After reading the manga, I was excited to see that an anime adaptation was created! Unfortunately, anime usually isn't as good as the original manga. This still holds true for Rosario and Vampire. If you are like me, the first thing I noticed was how out of order the episodes appeared to be compared to the manga timeline. Fortunately, the content of the anime itself wasn't drastically changed from the manga.
Overall, I somewhat enjoyed this anime. I don't believe it's worth downloading and archiving unless you are really into ecchi content. Which I will say that for all of the ecchi anime shows I've seen, this one does have some really nice pictures!

| Bleh, I couldn't help getting interested in what's so bad about Rosario + Vampire after seeing its extremely bad ratings... And yeah, well, it is bad, what's worse, it's not bad enough to be funny. Damn, it actually would have been much better if it was totally broken. However, what Rosario + Vampire does is much worse - it tries to fool its viewers that it actually has something to offer, yet whenever it gets on the important part - it screws it, spoils everything and falls on its face.
It's obvious from the first sight that Rosario + Vampire's main goal is to please the libido of lonely teenagers who are pretty common amongst anime fans. And I must say, had I been a few years younger, I might have liked this show more... What turned me off in this show, was its pathetic excuse for a plot. All it does is throwing its characters into a school where, not humans, but youkai study stuff. The bad thing is that it's not really different from human schools except for that its students are youkai, who are in their human forms anyway, so it kind of cancels it out. The only time you actually have a chance to see that it's not a normal human school is when in the end of each episode some random youkai would try to fight the show's heroine. Plot never really moves farther than "Oh no I'm studying in youkai school and, oh look at their panties" and all of it gets boring after the first episode. In shows like that only characters can keep you from giving up on them. Unfortunately, while some female characters in Rosario + Vampire are mildly interesting, the main character, who might as well be the worst main character I have ever seen drags the whole show down to the depths of abyss.
I really wouldn't recommend this show. Even if you want to see what's so bad about it, it's still not worthy of a watch. Simply, there's nothing really broken in Rosario + Vampire. It's just a show that is not worth watching and that's everything.

| I'm probably going to get flamed a lot, either my score will be too high or my score will be too low depending on the personal taste of the viewer. Seeing that my score is the highest out of the five reviews out so far for this anime. I probably enjoyed this more than others. (This anime already has a lot of low scores) But I'm going to take the risk and try to give a review on this anime.
First a little bit about the animation producer. I've heard that GONZO can totally butcher animes, but I didn't believe it at first. If you do not know GONZO is an animation studio that tends to ruin a lot of their animes with frivolous things, like panties and fanservice. Onto the review itself.
The animations are fairly good and in fact is one of the good things that GONZO can do. GONZO can put out a fairly good budget on animations. The character designs are cute and the backgrounds are normal at best. A shame that GONZO can't do much beside having good production values.
The sound is another thing that Rosario to Vampire succeeds in. The OP itself is catchy and is sung by Nana Mizuki the same singer that sings the opening songs for the Nanoha series. (Which I personally think is overrated, but I do like their opening songs) The ED song is also sung by Nana Mizuki and I personally found myself liking the ED song more than the OP song. Thery are both your generic pop songs, but I found these pop songs to be fun to hear and they're better than most OP songs I've heard, maybe because it's sung by Nana Mizuki. Background music works and it's fun to hear Cosmic Love in piano form at the sad parts. Not to mention the anime has a whole bunch of insert songs sung by the seiyuus in the anime. I'm pretty sure, not all of them are good singers, so I bet there was some voice enhancer used. But I'll never know.
Rosario to Vampire has a decent story. It started off fairly well with a good start with a human meeting a vampire and how they cannot exist together. But then later the anime falls into the category where you see and fight a different monster each episode and you get to see the vampire beat the crap out of them. Gets repetitive, but it's just mindless fun that you can watch and leave your brain somewhere else.
The characters were decent. I did like all the character from Moka to my favorite Mizore who is voiced by Rie Kugimiya, but it doesn't sound like her. Maybe, because it's not one of her bratty characters this time. The main character which is the human that attends the monster school is named Aono Tsukune. He's pretty decent, I guess he would be counted as your typical harem male character. He does have some brave parts in the anime. Then we have Moka who when her Rosario is removed, she becomes one of the strongest monsters of all which happens to be a vampire. Everyone else seems kind of half baked and they barely have any background stories, but they're still likeable for adding some fun into the character cast.
Not after hearing all this, you're probably wondering why this anime is considered a failure in so many different people's eyes. It's one thing and it's this one thing that causes me to roll my eyes every time it happens. PANTIES! PANTIES! PANTIES! Oh goodness. You can tell that this anime will be focused on panties when the first thirty seconds of the anime show a girl riding her bicycle. Of course, she's wearing a short skirt. And, of course the wind has to be blowing her short skirt up. Of course, the camera has to zoom underneath her skirt to give you a bigger picture of the obvious thing. *rolls eyes* I can tell where this anime is going after that .... but I still stuck it with it to see where it would go. Looks like it didn't change from that first episode.
If you find the first episode repulsive than you're better off not watching the rest, because you're only in for a world of hurt. For people who are in favor of the constant pantie shots then this show is perfect for you.

| Rosario + Vampire is a 13 episode romantic ecchi anime released in 2008. Impressive in its presentation, it is a shame that Rosario + Vampire will only satisfy viewers after fan service, and no one else.
One of the few areas Rosario + Vampire is good at is its graphics and animation. The anime combines computer generated objects and animation within the scenes, making it very good to look at, especially in High Definition. True to its genre, Rosario + Vampire contains plenty of well animated fan service. Although both the detail and variation could have been improved during fan service scenes, it is remedied by the frequent quantity of the fan service. There are some graphical errors in Rosario + Vampire, and a few scenes lack detail. However, those scenes are scarce, and the anime is still very enjoyable to watch, especially for people looking for fan service.
The numerous songs featured in Rosario + Vampire are good to listen to, and complement the genre and style of the anime and their respective scenes well. The voice actors do a great job, adding to the overall presentation of the anime. The background music is frequent and also adds a lot to the scenes. Therefore, it is a shame that none of is memorable due to the filler like storyline.
The storyline of Rosario + Vampire consist of separate incidents with the characters from previous episodes carried over. Even the plot of the anime is of the same style. As a result, there is barely any development in the storyline, as its main purpose seems to be for introducing new characters and to provide fan service. Of course, the storyline is fine for viewers looking for fan service, but Rosario + Vampire could have appealed to the rest of the audience much more if it had a decent and developed story.
Most of the characters introduced in the 13 episode run of Rosario + Vampire only appear in one or two episodes. Of course, they all do their part in providing fan service to the viewer, but not much else. Character development is barely present, even for the lead characters. However, variation is plentiful, especially in the female characters, most of whom provide fan service in their respective ways.
Rosario + Vampire is an excellent ecchi anime. However, an ecchi anime is mainly judged by fan service, and as a result, this anime fails under the current rating system. Probably a very enjoyable anime to viewers who enjoy the ecchi genre, Rosario + Vampire will most definitely disappoint those looking for a solid storyline or well developed characters.

| This show isn't the greatest show ever. If you like fanservice then you will like this show. They have plenty of it. Mostly the showing of panties. Too much of it for me. I think they should have a little more action to it.
I didn't really get fully interested in it until maybe the 2nd or 3rd episode. There may have been a few funny parts that made me laugh but, not really funny. The only episode that made me beg for more was episode 12.
The animation was alright. The quality was pretty good. I expected to see at least some blood at this fights or more fights period. The background images are pretty much boring if you ask me. The graphics sucked.
As for the sounds, The opening was okay. I didn't like the ending too much. Nothing special about the background music. There voices are very annoying. I can't stand listening to the characters half of the time. Aono Tsukune voice is alright. Some of the extra characters was okay too.
The Story to me wasn't a story. All I really see is a boy put in a school with monsters that look like humans and a couple of girls following him around. Nothing special to it. The only real excitement is non bloody fights and bright white panties(if you like that sort of thing).
The characters like I said before have the most nerve racking voice. My sister came in my room telling me the voices sounded like chipmunks. I fond none of the characters interesting at all. They all seemed quite boring.
The show doesn't have much value to it. I wouldn't re watch it even if I was bored. If it came in stores, I wouldn't buy it.
Overall I sort of enjoyed it, but at the same time I didn't. They say it is fantasy and harem and love-romance, but I didn't see any excitement about love, harem or fantasy.

| I don't know why I'm going to spend the next 600+ words typing up a shitty review about a shitty show, but I need something to vent my itchy fingers on my new keyboard.
I initially had no interest in Rosario + Vampire. Until the week Anonymous started to continuously post pictures of this hot purple-haired girl from the anime. As it was repeatedly posted, I learned that she is voiced by Rie Kugimiya and is a stalker. So, even knowing that the anime is nothing but fanservice and QUALITY GONZO, I jumped on the bandwagon and got the episodes on a whim. In addition, I also catched up on the manga, which was, for some reason, actually popular.
In any case, you have to wait until episode 7 to see Rie Kugimiya in a role other than Louise/Shana/Nagi. Being a voice actress fanboy is kind of scaring me... And so here's my shitty review of RtV:
Animation-
Though it's by GONZO, all they are good at is maintaining drawing quality. Otherwise, everything is mediocre: slow pans; reused cells; minimal animation; lifeless backgrounds (more than it already should be); resorting to chibified drawings; and at one time, jumping horizontally while the ground zooms past Moka. This also makes for chunky dialogue, which doesn't help what the script has to offer.
Sound-
Generic poppy and synth-saturated OP, ED, and insert songs. Background music sucks. (Yes, I actually took notice of them. They really do.) Chunky dialogue due to delays in animation makes its slow. Moka has a very irritating voice; Kurumu is okay; witch-girl is also irritating; Mizore (Rie Kugimiya) is the ONLY reason I am watching the anime, and surprisingly she is quite good at using a voice other than her usual. Should be a 3, but +2 for one of my favourite seiyuus.
Story-
I've read the manga. It is at first a monster-of-the-week formulaic shounen, with usually only one full panel/page of Vampire-Moka's signature kick move. Later, it attempts to have a plot so that they can fight and stuff. For a fanservice anime, they dwindle down ALL the fights (no bloodiness, either) and insert panty shots every 30 seconds or less (brightly coloured for your enjoyment). Pretty much every injustice GONZO can think of is used in this anime adaption. The only good to come out of this is introducing Mizore early on.
Characters-
Annoying voices aside, the characters are semi-interesting, including Mizore herself. Tsukune becomes cool later in the manga, and very late in the anime; this is because it is required for him to turn from boring generic loser into some cool guy. Moka is somewhat the same. So is Kurumu and the witch-girl. Mizore's past was completely wiped from the storyboard. Ruby has a decent backstory, and was one of my favourite arcs in the manga.
Value-
Are you shitting me? What a waste of licensing money. What a waste of budget. It's what GONZO does best these days.
Enjoyment-
I watched this because of Mizore. I shall now proceed to collect more fanart and vectors of her.

| 'Rosario to Vampire' is a story about a group of monsters and a human. Aono Tsukune is not an top grade student, and he ends in a... well, specific school. He finds himself among many normally looking students but all of them are monsters - and the main one is a vimpier - Akashiya Moka. It is the start of his and hers trouble.
This anime is described as Fantasy (with magic and high level monsters) Harem (well one boy and a lot of women), Love-Romance, School Life, but in the end it is no big deal.
I was watching it to around 6 episode from the beginnig to the end and the rest... well I was jumping from one scene to another... and it was all anticipateble, even 'prophesyble'. All was boring in the end.
Only good things in this anime are the animation and the sound, characters are average, all the rest is wonky and weak. Plus no enjoyment at all.
If you are a fan of Harem anime, like 'Love Hina' or 'Ai Yori Aoshi' even 'DearS' you will like it, but, if you asc me above titles are better in any way.
