Mushi-Uta was fun to watch and good all around and it would only be better than average if I could understand the darn story.

Animations are solid for 2007. I really like the character designers from the green haired girl named Shiika to the red haired girl named something something. I forgot. Backgrounds are bright during the day scenes, but there are more dark scenes due to this anime being an action anime. Actual this anime does a lot of different categories, but I'll get to that part later.

I like the voice acting and I like how Kusuriya had two different kind of voices. A playful voice for at school and a deep dark voice when he ummmm exterminates bugs. (Called Mushis) The OP song and the ED song are really nice. The OP video shows what this anime is going to be about and then we have a slow ED song to show that this anime can be a romance drama show as well. Background music is pretty good, but I didn't really pay attention to it.

The story was confusing. I was like okay, so this happens that means this is this and that is that. But then later everything changes and I'm going WHAT!! But I thought ..... whatever. This anime tries to be a romance/drama/action/bug killing show and it's pretty good at doing those. If just some of the anime wasn't so confusing and the ending didn't really solve that much. But I heard there was supposed to be a second season.

The story was about a boy who must exterminate bugs. And then he meets this girl that he met in the past and they talk about dream stuff. That's nice and all, but I don't understand it. But he kills her for some reason. @_@. Then later he meets the girl again and they meet and start going on dates and eating hamburgers together. WHAT!?!? Confusing. Yes. But maybe if you watch it then it'll be better than my explanation.

Mushi-Uta isn't bad, but at least it keeps your interest for 12 episodes. The character desings are nice and the soundtrack is good as well. If Mushi-Uta can make sense on the next season then I'll watch it. Other than that I'll probably not check out the second season. But for action/drama/romance/bug killing people. Then this anime is perfect for you.

After four episodes marked by bad dialogue and a plot that is hard to follow, I am giving up on this series. This was director Kazuo Sakai's directorial debut, and a poor one. The series summary for Mushi-Uta that I read on animenfo.com raised my hopes; it had all the makings for a good series. Nice character design, a good plot. Unfortunately, it is marred by horrible story-telling, and unfathomable scenes or points in the storyline where we are left to guess and wonder at what’s going on. I want a good story, clearly spelled out, easy to follow, with great action and great dialogue. Mushi-Uta is muddy and confusing. It is the opposite of crystal clear. It is not what I look for in a favorite anime. Mushi-Uta is very forgettable. It will go down as another series that could have been so much better, leaving the viewers disappointed.

I say this series at first and wondered, hm....this is actually REALLY good. I wonder why no one has reviewed it yet? Turns out...it's a decently new series with only 4 episodes out currently. My rating may be a bit low as of now for something of this quality, but that is because I still need to watch the rest to get a better understanding.

The animation for Mushi Uta is what attracted me to it. Beautiful character designs and what detail! This is definitely up to par for a 2007 anime, and maybe better...?

I especially like the voice acting. Many of the characters have 'more than one side' to them (not to spoil anything), and the voice changes noticeably to match.

Let me first start by saying this story has nothing to do with the well known anime, Mushishi. Mushi Uta captivated me in the first episode, and it's suspenseful enough to make you want more with the many cliffhangers.

-----------------------------------------
More will be added later when I finish.

[UPDATED] This is truly one of the best of 2007. It's got a complex storyline with many genres merged in one that's not cliche. (Fantasy, action, drama, romance...)

Mushi Uta is definitely worth investing your time in. It also gets you to think. What is your dream? What will you be willing to do for it? Will it be forgotten?

The more I watch, the more I love the music as well. EXCELLENT opening and closing song. It took me a few episodes to realize the beautiful melodies. :D

MUST SEE. It has a calming, yet entertaining essence about it.
