| Wow, what a stinker. While the anime constantly refers to a near-future crisis, in which all the men have died off, it seems that, in only three years, we're going to have mecha robots with big-*ss capes, gun-swords, supermodel women in cosplay command uniforms, and all sorts of other anime technology cliches whose occurance suggests that the anime designers really really really liked fantasy rpg games. Now, I don't mind premises like an alternate universe or alien technology, but these stereotypes are pretty much dropped into the anime of *our* future world without any explanation. The anime is rather heavyhanded in its male-bashing, ironic since the one-dimensional characters don't really act any differently than males in a cliched science anime. The animation varies from rather unsubtle CGI (some put to good use, some not) to standard anime animation.
