| WARNING! What you are about to approach is major cuteness. Finally being able to finish this anime by like three different subs. 1-3 by Hikari no Kiseki, 4-17 by Kedex, and finally 18-26 bu SunFlowerSubs. This anime took until 2008 to finish subbing and I thank the subbers for spending their time subbing this.
The animations are good on some episodes like the few first episodes. I was ready to give this an eight or a nine, but the problem is the fillers. I mean the fillers weren't even entertaining and you can always tell which episodes were fillers by looking at their animations. The filler one usually have plain backgrounds and the character designs are awful on those episodes. Plus the fillers are totally useless like the time the main character goes into a dinosaur to do something. Yeah, not very entertaining.
I didn't like the OP song that much, but I know a whole bunch of other people like it. First ending song, I thought fit the mood of Kamichama Karin. And the second ending song fit as well, but I just didn't like the second ending. Background music is sort of repeptitive and I didn't really like it. Voice acting was good and bad. I thought Karin and Kazune had good voice actors, but Himeka. OH NO! The way she talks just takes forever. Good ..... morning ...... Karin---------chan. She talks really slow and really quiet. I think they somehow did 0.5 speed when they were recording her voice or something. Or maybe they just did that to fill up time of the fillers, because man oh man there were a bunch of fillers.
Kamichama Karin is like 50% story and 50% filler. Or maybe even the fillers or more than the actual story. At the beginning you're introduced to a story that seems somewhat convincing. Then in the middle you're get random fillers with like a few episodes of story. The ending tries to be all tragic and storylike, but it can't hide that some of it was actually filler. For all of you that don't know what filler means. It's an episode that wasn't in the original manga and is a total waste, because it does nothing to contribute to the story.
Characters were fine, but they were only decent. Karin is the main character and she's a pretty likeable character, so is Kazune, even though he's voiced by a female. (Which most boys in animes are nowadays) Himeka annoyed me with her slow talking and I didn't really care about glasses man or whatever Karin called him. At least the character designs were cute ....... on the nonfiller episodes.
Kamichama Karin is a must watch for fans who read the manga, but seeing how many filler episodes are in this anime they find this anime a disappointment. Kamichama Karin might be a worth a watch. I wouldn't call this anime wasted time, because I enjoyed the storyline episodes and the cute character designs. Overall, watch it if you're a fan of cute things and a total thumbs down if you're not.
Anyway, I like cute things.
