| Young boy and his friend get caught in an alien attack. To save his friend he jumps in a mecha. He fights bad aliens, the Aerogaters, and with some help he wins. He is then recruited into some secret experimental mecha squad of the Federation. Then the Divine Crusaders, another earth faction, betrays them and declares war on the Aerogaters and the Federation trying to destroy the peace talks between the latter two. And so starts the war. It is mildly interesting if I may be honest.
Why not mention the main characters names you might wonder? Well, because there are too many damn characters in this series. The creators seemed to have put in every damn character with every damn existing personality in this world into this one series. There are like 3-4 main characters and like 15 side characters. Too many characters to count and too many characters to empathize with which results in a very shallow character development.
Unfortunately this shallowness defines almost every aspect of this series: storyline, characters, sound, mecha designs, etc. The only positive aspect of this series is its decent animation. It would have had full marks if the mecha designs weren't so bad.
This solidly ranks into my category of anime watched to kill time when your bored to hell.
