| Coyote Ragtime Show reminds me of Ocean's 7. A bunch of rogue characters gather together in order to accomplish one goal. The whole atmosphere and feeling is also very similar - everything is pretty laid back and the rogue group carries out their infiltration plans with much energy and enthusiasm. Action-wise, everything is pretty hollywood like with plenty of explosions and chase scenes.
There are essentially three parties in this anime. 1) Mister's group - the rogue coyotes that basically the main protagonists. A friend of Mister's had died and some turn of events make it so that he has to break out of jail to tie up loose ends. This is where the journey begins as he rushes against time and opponents to get to his goal. 2) Marciano's Guild group - along with her 12 sister androids, she is also chasing the same thing Mister is. However, her organization has much more manpower and resources. 3) Angelica, the government agent who has been chasing Mister for 4 years...
Story and character wise, everything is quite simple and straightforward. Everything is clear and clean cut without much confusion, which helps to faciliate the fun in the story without the need to think. I really appreciated how the characters were so well expressed. Although the individual characters were unsophisticated, the voice actors really conveyed a lot of enthusiasm through their expressions.
Essentially, this is a chase and be chased type anime with lots of space action fights, rebellious vs evil vs government characters. From start to finish, basically everyone has someone chasing them and it is quite action packed in general. I'm not much for pure action animes, but this one is pretty nicely done because of its nice animation design and interesting situations - from space to air to land- just about everywhere with a variety of weapons and vehicles. Just be sure not to mistake the first episode as implying that Angelica is the main character because in fact it is pretty distributed amongst the three groups.
