| Kamisama Kazoku isn't the most popular anime around, but it does a good job at doing what some animes are lacking.
Animations are good and colorful. Too bad, some of the backgrounds are boring and felt like they were scribbled. The characters looked nice, but they're outline feels a little dull. Overall I think the animations are pretty decent.
The OP is wonderful and it's even more wonderful, because they have a piano version of it. And they even use the piano version of the song as a background track to the anime. Which is super cool. The ED song is good as well with cute chibi characters. Background music is pretty good and the voice acting is good as well.
The story is about god's family and how they interact with the human world. God's son must explore the human world and is trying to get a feel of what humans feel like. Then he meets a super cute girl and his "angel" starts to get jealous. So ,basically it's a love-triangle with a cute and simple story. Perfect for people who don't want to think that much.
Samatorou is your typical boy, except he's god's son. Which gives him whatever he wants. He falls in love with a nice girl named Kumiko. His guardian spirit named Tenko gets overly jealous and a love-romance starts, but don't worry. It's not that simple, because this anime will throw plot twists at you and you'll be entertained for the thirteen episodes that this anime has to offer.
Tenko or Kumiko? You decide. The anime will lean toward one at the end, so you don't have to worry about an incomplete ending.

| The first 4 episodes had me absolutely enthralled with this anime. The plot was done in a way i'd never seen before, twists were coming out, characters were developing and it looked like the writers were taking a leap towards the original, especially in episode 4.
Admittedly from there i wasn't quite sure where it could have gone, but i thought based upon the first 4 eps the writers could keep it up and let this anime by my fav of all 2006.
Unfortunately i was wrong :( After the brilliant opening arc, the story degrades into the sterotype it originally came from. Characters lose their uniqueness and it becomes yet another episodic harem where the last 2 eps introduce a 'story'.
On the plus side, i laughed me ass off the entire way through - in terms of comedy the serise is still gold. But the story was quite a let down.

| This anime doesnt break out to do other things but still it is a good anime to watch. If you like comedy you can pick this up if you like.

| Well then, what happens when you have a boy soon to become God, his guardian angel, who happens to love him, and another "human" girl who steps between them? You have Kamisama Kazoku, a unique and entertaining anime which happens to be my new favorite.

| ****This anime is still in it's early stages, but this is my review thus far******
This is an interesting twist on an old genre. A student Kamiyama Samataro, is the son of God. He is on Earth with his family to learn what life is like until he becomes God. Kamiyama has a guardian angel named Tenko, and it's apparent that there is love between them. Trouble arrises when a new student arrives at school and steals Kamiyamas heart. Now he has 5 days to impress the new student before she moves again, the only problem is, his family tries to interfere, when he wants to win her over without any miracles.
I will add more to this review in the upcoming months.
