| Unlike the first season, Meine Liebe Wieder has a more unified storyline throughout, rather than an episodic format. It is still heavily based on character development, which may not appeal to people who seek animes with more action and plot. (The anime is still pretty melodramatic) The characters retain the traits they demonstrated in the first season, which, to me, are what make them likeable. The inclusion of a few new characters adds a little more interest and conflict, but overall, the series is still focused on Orpheus and his friends. The only two negatives about this in comparison to the first season are the music is not as dramatic and the ending is not as exciting; the series seemed to build toward some action-packed climax that never occurred. If you liked the first season, definitely watch this one as well.

| This review is based on the entire complete series.
I don't think this series is shounen-ai. I have watch other anime that does not belong to this genre that is even more slashable. So don't be draw away from this anime because you think it shounen-ai. Because it not.
Since I have already watched the first season, the second season does not seem confusing. There is further character development, lots of talking, no action, a lot about political stuff, no humour, and no romance.
However, I really enjoy this anime. Beautiful animation once again. I love the character designed and the background. I love the coloring, it make everything classical, dreamy, soft, and pretty.
