| this is an old one but for fans of this series this is an appropriate ending. quite a tear jerker especially at the end. i won't spoil it but the ending is quite nice.

| The "final" Urusei Yatsura timeline wise, it's based on the last chapters of the manga, and was never animated on the TV show.
This movie is one of the best movies based on UY topped only a bit by "Beutiful Dreamer" in my opinion.
The animations is beutiful and in difference with the TV series and the other movies, emulates the orginal Takahashi style perfectly.
The movies storyline is fun, nostalgic and moving, since for some time it forgets the comedy and puts to test the feelings of the characters you've come to love and consolidates them as so much more than comic reliefs, though the was done many times during the TV series, in this movie you will find it the most intense.
An all around great way to end UY, since it's genuine to the heart and substance of the whole franchise.
Only see it after wacthing most of the other materials, since this movie greatly depends on your familiarization to the cast.

| Not really one of the better Urusei Yatsura's movies, but still wasn't bad from most of the plot it was involved in. It was quite a shock and odd to see that whole idea of using Ataru of making him forced to say his feelings her, not only from her own usual self for overly liking to Aturu hand and foot. The ending was also hilarious, but could've done more for it. One of the few movies of its series that wasn't really done to its best, which should've been given some in-depth closure to its restrained conclusion.

| I must say, I was expecting more from this movie.
The story and characters are a notch below what I've come to expect from the previous UY movies that I've seen. The two new characters introduced in this movie are really not too impressive, and I'd practically forgotten about them as I was watching the movie. And even the story with Ataru and Lum was average at best.
I really hate to deem a Urusei Yatsura movie anything less than spectacular, but the other movies raised the bar pretty high and this one just doesn't compare with them in my mind. The true UY fans should watch it for closure though, and it's really not that bad of a movie. Just don't expect too much.
