| What a trip down memory lane, I's Pure does a pretty good job in re-articulating all the important (beginning) points in this storyline and watching this really brought back a flood of memories. The only problem is that it is kind of short, superficial and it cuts out a lot of the climactic scenes that were extremely poignant in the manga. With this type of production, it would have been nice to watch the manga in a little bit longer series instead of just the highlight scenes with each girl.
One of the most impressive aspects is how effective their method of story telling is in terms of picking out the right scenes as well as making it somewhat flowing from episode to episode. I may be biased because I already read this manga from cover to cover and thus I'm familiar with the story, but I felt like it did a great job in being consistent with the original storyline feeling yet it went through fast enough to pick up a lot of various important points. It might be weird for those who aren't familiar with the story to see scenes jump around so quickly like this, but it really does a good job in re-presenting this manga in a visual and audio form. However, because of the limitation in the number of episodes they decided to produce, I suppose that the story does suffer a bit in terms of convincibility of character development because they focused more on dialogue from a 3rd person perspective rather than introspective thought from Ichitaka Seto. The ending was also VERY rushed. But oh well! I liked it.
I really liked the voice acting in this OVA. They truly matched the personalities of the girls well. Itsuki - who is brazen and open, yet hides her feelings on the inside. Iori - who is quiet but popular and not very proactive. Izumi - well, her voice is a bit soft for her personality, but it's still cute. Ichitaka - well... he doesn't seem to be very special , but then again his character wasn't very strong in the manga. I also really liked Teritani's voice actor, he's pretty cool in this series.
I loved I''s manga so much... it was such a great manga with great artwork (mostly character design though) and female personalities with interesting story scene episodes. Watching this was a great way to revisit the manga without having to read through the volumes. I'm not quite sure if I really would want to watch this over again. The initial novelty of watching this in moving form might seem to wear thin after sometime and in general it doesn't go into any particular scene in depth (it is purely a animated form of the manga)... but still it a very cute reminder of a cute cast of characters. (Not recommended for people who have not seen the manga).

| I's Pure is a great anime if you enjoy comical high school situations. The animation is beautiful, and so is the opening song. I've only seen two episodes, including episode 2 bonus, and it's got me yearning for more. Overall, check out this anime if you enjoy the genre. You won't be disappointed.

| This is a better than expected OVA. The manga is 15 volumes and I was worried it would be really condensce but the OVA turn out pretty good. If you want romance that serious and that has subtance than I would recommend checking this OVA out same goes with the manga.

| After watching the first episode of I's pure, it seems to be a very good romance anime show. I haven't read the manga so my review is unbiased. I's seems to differ from other romance anime show in the way that the events in the show seem more realistic, unlike in harems where the main character charms all the girls around him for no apparent reason. It contains elements of many great romance animes like ICHIGO 100%, and Suzuka. Too bad there's only 6 episodes in total. Judging by the first episode,
it doesn't seem to be your ordinary light hearted romance show. I can't wait to watch the next episode.
The main character, Seto's voice is pretty good as in it doesn't sound annoying (like Manaka in Ichigo100%).
It has an awesome OP song.
Animation: Awesome. It has a high level of detail and the colors fit the scenes very well.
Sound: I like the OP and the sounds fit the scenes very well as well. The voices of the characters fit their personality very well.
Story: It seems to be pretty good. Like other romance shows, it revolves about a guy having a one side crush on a girl and in the end he declares his love to the girl.
Character: Very well designed characters.
Value: Should have lots of value. I can't give rating on this until I watch more episodes.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed it a lot. First episode is definitely worth looking into for those who like watching romance animes. (ICHIGO 100%, KGNE, Suzuka, FMS)

| It is it really fair to review a series based on the first episode of six episode run? If my impressions had been strongly negative, I might have held off for a while, but they're not. Not at all.
I like I''s a lot.
I was a big fan of the manga as, I'm sure, many of you reading this are too.
In Iori-chan, Katsura produced one of the most beautifully drawn heroines in Manga art. Does this OVA do her justice? Well, at times, but it looks as if it's difficult to maintain that level of attention to detail. In certain scenes Iori looks like the Manga goddess we love, in others, well, not so much.
Profiles appear particularly difficult for I''s animators.
Quibbles aside, I think that the look of the show is pretty impressive. The opening credits are really something. The backgrounds in particular are jaw-droppingly beautiful.
The opening episode is told in a series of flashbacks from a point two years in the future when our hero is (once again) preparing to confess his feelings.
I'm not sure if they plan on keeping this flashback device in play, but it does provide a neat device for covering plot highlights while side-stepping the manga's filler and seemingly endless scenes where Ichitaka dithers about one thing or another.
So yes, I think this could work. A selective culling of the manga could produce worthwhile results in this first episode is anything to go by.

| I'm a sap for love-romance animes and this one is the quintessential love romance anime. it reminds me alot of Kimi Ga nozomu eien, though not nearly quite as dramatic. ive only seen the first ep so far and it seems to be really promising. the three main characters all have some depth (even the male). i feel sorry for the male character though...he gets so screwed over. haha

| Ahhh, finally... a faithful I"s adaptation from the manga... well, faithful so far anyway ;)
Note that this is the series often copied by other shows (especially Ichigo 100%) but still never equalled.
Still curious how they're gonna cram all that story into six OVAs, maybe they'll be cutting out a lot of the filler in the manga, or end it with the iconic train scene... anyway, it's a good adaptation so far, and I can't wait to see the rest of the OVAs!
