| Otherwise known as "Urotsukidoji - The New Saga," this series comes up as an updated version (or remake, if I may) of the original Urotsukidoji series.
The original Urotsukidoji was the very first hentai I've ever watched - and back in high school it was a very "moving" experience, if you know what I mean... This version has, for the most part, the same cast of main characters, and others have been updated or modified to suit the story. The animation has significantly improved from the original, as well, with good mix of CG and traditional animation, and nice character designs.
These three OVAs, however, seem largely imcomplete (or at the very least, unresolved), even though it does indicate some sort of "end" to the main plot thread.
For most anime enthusiasts, Urotsukidoji is like the Star Wars of hentai (or at least, it's right up there with Bible Black), and it is rare to find anyone who has watched hentai but has not seen the original Urotsukidoji series. But while this may give me license to put up some spoilers, I'm gonna try to hold back on it for those select few who have not actually seen the originals.
Watching this series is like a nice trip back to memory lane, to put it mildly. The much improved animation and sex scenes are much appreciated, although there are somewhat less tentacles and/or demon rape in this version as opposed to the original. All in all, it's pretty good and is recommended for those who like this type of genre in hentai, and even for those who have no idea what the show is about. Of course, in terms of overall story, the original series is still better to me. But that's kind of a given for originals, right?
