| Touch moves to the States, perhaps as a tribute for the baseball influences and American baseball movies.
Finally the viewers get to see some nicely animated baseball action and a change of settings.
It is a nice addition to the series but I feel as if the characters havent changed that much and it is just as if the settings switched from Japan to America but everything else remained the same.
Animation and character design was good but one thing that annoyed me were that the characters, even though they were American, they looked exactly as in the series. Even the dog was the same. It felt as if Tatsuya didnt fly a whole ocean but just a few hundred miles away from his hometown.
Despite this the climax is as in the series last episode and it manages to keep the interest of a no-Touch fan as myself alive till the final minute.
A good effort but if you're not a fan it will be just another average sports movie.
With that said the viewing of Touch finished and with a couple of series left to watch till I take a break from anime, it is really one of most memorable series.

| The latest iteration released of Touch (and hopefully not the last!! Anybody know if they're going to be making any more Touch movies?) for all Touch fans is a must watch. This isn't that strong a movie but regardless was enjoyable from a Touch fan perspective.
Tatsuya isn't as aloof here in this movie as he was in MLY. This should've been another series as there is so much content that could've been built here that had to be squeezed into a movie, and it looked it. However, I guess getting a movie is better than getting nothing. You don't get the sense of team comraderie in this movie as Tatsuya plays in America. I really felt like these guys were playing for their individual glory trying to make it into the AAA. I don't know if that was intentional but if it was, good job because I could sense that the whole way. By the way, has anybody noticed how Tatsuya has become more like Kacchan now? Nice, sensitive, and not as insensitive as he was in the series? Maybe it's just him growing up.
It's nice to see Tatsuya and Minami continue to reaffirm their love for each other by talking about how they miss each other and are looking to better themselves so they can face one another again. However, damn these people for being so conservative/reserved.
*spoiler*
Example is when Tatsuya is supposed to be surprised when he sees Minami in America. Now maybe I've been spoiled by movies or real life, but if you see a moment like that, I would've imagined Tatsuya's eyes widen and his mouth a big smile running to Minami, and giving her a big hug.
*end spoiler*
If that happened, I would've given this story 1 point higher in mark just for that. To somehow see SOME consumation of their love.
I do have to say the main soundtrack piece is pretty good and fits very well w/ the setting in middle America.

| First off, I'm a super Touch fan. I love this series to bits and I was so happy to watch this. Saying that, my review may be a little biased and someone who doesn't like Touch might not like this movie at all.
Essentially, this movie is about Uesugi in America and his reaching his inner-self and motivation in defining who he is whereas before he was also compared to his brother.
The style of story-telling in this movie is really similar to the series. The baseball team even has players that are a directly similarity to his team in Japan (i.e. the catchers look similar). Minami and Uesugi are apart, and there are small romances of the main character being so popular. However, this little romance that occurs in the states is really kind of dull >.>, nothing happens and it neither cements Tatsuya' love for Minami nor increases their relationship... There are a lot of various things that happen story-wise that doesn't really improve anything from the past series.
This movie heavily relies on deep rooted empathy and sentiment for Minami and Uesugi. Us Touch fans are always rooting for them to get together as well as Uesugi to do his best and I think that this movie does an EXCELLENT job at touching upon these sympathies. This movie made me love the characters more.
However, if you take a step back and look at the story elements, there really isn't anything special in terms of the events that happen. There is a basic driving plot about this minor league baseball team trying to stay alive... as well as various baseball sentiments from the past which all are great for the Touch/baseball fan, but meaningless to anyone else.
I really enjoyed this movie. Subjectively I would recommend it. Objectively, maybe not :p there are key aspects missing that a Touch series watcher would not understand.

| I love this movie sequal so much.. the action, the songs, the pwntage of old classic american baseball. This sequal cont. from the Touch: Miss Lonely Yesterday movie. You have to watch it first to know why Tatsuya is here in USA.
Cross Road will set a new mood. A mood of american ho down dance. The song will have guitar beat to it and will give you a breezy feeling like you really tour travling town to town to play a game. Once the mood is set, they'll introduce us a new girl(as always) this time they give us a tomboy girl. This romance is really kinda dissapoint. The story of her and Tatsuya didn't go all the way but it was still good consider as it a movie.
There're lot of excitement and surprise in baseball this time. The story of Emeral baseball team is really touching in a way and how they play to the last is even more touching moments into it. There're a little surprise add at the last throw too.
Touch has come from a long long way of eps. and this movie finally make the whole series *looks* complete. Touch is now 100% complete. The series now have every moments that it should had. TOUCH ROCK THE WORLD.

| Summary:
Tatchan goes to USA in an effort to start playing baseball all over again to get out of Kat-chan's shadow. Minami as well decided that she's no longer happy with gymnastics, and decided to become a photographer's assistant. Tatchan end up playing for the worst team and ended up befriending the granddaughter of the owner of the team. While Tatchan fights getting out of kat-chan's shadow, of minami's absense and of finding his own self, he also tries to make his baseball team get better.
