| WoTN is just another ninja anime. It has some good fight scenes(most of them are boring though)and pretty good animation for it's time but that's I have good to say. The english voice acting and the music are both only mediocre at best. What killed WoTN though is time. Maybe the OVA is better but not enough time was given to develop the characters or the story very well so it all ended up with very bland characters and an uninteresting story.

| Aqui tenemos una pelicula anime de ninjas. Aunque parezca que hay un monton todo lo contrario. Afortunadamente existe ninja scroll y para de contar.
No hay mucho que decir sobre la peli. Muchos topicos del cine de ninjas, combates cortos, tecnicamnete flojila...
Es una basura? Tampoco. La pelicula puede ser entretenida y la segunda mitad de la pelicula es mas interesante que la primera. Verla y olvidarte de ella.
Por cierto que obsesion tienen los jaoneses con Nobunaga-el malo de la peli-. Alli debe ser como el hombre del saco o el chupacabras. Sera porque en el mundo no ha habido mas malvados que ese o que XD:)

| Very surprising anime: start is a bit standard but nice surprises and plot-twists. I liked it a lot.

| The Wrath of the Ninja another U.S. Manga Corp. released with a horrible dub. The story is about 3 legendary blades that destroy the 9 evil lords and release Japan from the era of darkness. The action is stellar, just the voice acting is horrible. There is more than enough bloodshed and monsters to decorate your nightmares. For just the action is very cool.

| Hmmm it wasn't that long ago that I watched this anime, but it wasn't that memorable, although it wasn't that bad either.
I think what this anime suffers most is the fairly linear story plot line. The characters were alright but again not outstanding. Well to be fair I don't think the story and characters had the time to be developed though.
Not a bad anime, certainly worth a watch if you are interested in animes made during that 80's.

| What the hell are these reviewers watching. If you don't like ninja movies, where they fight and do skills as if by magic, what the hell where you doing watching this movie. Did you expect, some kind of moving story of a family and its triumphs over the times. Seriously, you had to know what kind of movie you were expecting by the cover. "Wrath of the NINJA." I mean are you seriously surprised by the fighting and somewhat odd story line. Have you seen any ninja movies? Anyhow This was made in 1989. It was pretty extraordinary for its time. Greatest, of all time, of course not and not really close. But very entertaining. All of is drawings were definitely up to par for the time.

| God, this has to be one of the most boring martial arts anime I've ever seen. But on a minor plus side, it does seem a lot like Ninja Scroll (The same person who directed this anime, directed Ninja Scroll). But anyways, the Characters and the Story overall were very shallow at best, which isn't surprising for a martial arts anime. Also on another plus side, the animation and the fight scenes are a little bit ahead of there time. Well I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this movie (I got it for $15), because I don't think I'll be watching it again. I'll advise most people to stay away from this movie, especially fans of Ninja Scroll. But if you are curious about Ninja Scroll's ancestor, than you just might enjoy this movie.

| MUCH better than ninja scroll. 'course... I never finished Ninja Scroll... Anyways, this one's much more concentrated on story and action, which actually isn't all that bad. Ok, so the story wasn't exactly good, 7 enemies here, some other demons there and, of course, a mastermind. the music surprised me and the characters were kinda original. Otherwise it's just an extremely ugly and boring movie with some stupid morale thing in the end.

| Overall it´s bad ^^
I´ve more fun taking a crap than watching this movie. Most of the time you wonder why you are watching. It´s not original, it´s not funny, it´s just boring.
Some fighting scens are good but that doesn´t make the movie any better.
Unless you have anything else to do like feeding your fishes or walking your dog, then this movie is acceptable.

| Best ninja anime I have seen sofar!! the animation for it's time (1989) was actually pretty nice. Nice looking blood. Blood is great :) The vocals and music were done nicely. The characters in it were pretty cool looking. And they are voiced over quite nicely by the voice actors. The value of this anime isnt too good, but I think if you like one time movie watching anime's like Ninja Scroll and Ressurection then u should check this one out for sure. I enjoyed this for the most part. It was very bloody at time which doesnt hurt anime at all. And the sword fighting is great too :) I like how they move so damn quick in it too.
