Based on a manga that is probably a must read this is yet another sci-fi anime, but fortunately it belongs to the serious movies, an exception to the rule unfortunately.
The first story was the best where one family is sent to colonize a distant planet resembling earth and where the parents leave the children there to fend for themselves.
The second story revolves again around terraforming but it was the worst of the three and took from the anime a lot of points.
The third goes back to the first story when the children grew up a little, but they're going to learn something terrible.
Graphics and character design are extreme
ly detailed and this helps in making the characters memorable and dramatic, despite the short movie length. Voice actors are also convincing.
Only problem is the second story, but if you look for a serious sci-fi the anime adaptation of the from what I heard very good manga, will not dissapoint you, even if it isnt relatively that known.

| This 56min movie is quite good, and the graphics are quite impressive. Only that I don't like too much sci-fi with little relations/logic to it, though it does seem logic for people in late 80's to think so and come up with the idea. I just feel detached watching this and I have no idea why. The story seems to be one linear but cut into two parts which have a lot relating to each other only that space is not my cup of tea.
The space-story is about human expanding their race to distant planets, that is the first part, the second part seems to be continuation and shows the side effects of space travel. It is quite a nice story and its even more serious than PlanetES.
Seiyuu is ok, the bgm and sfx are ok and quite good.
Character design is quite realistic and very very detailed though the background is not that much told.
The value and enjoyment are my personal choice and its really not bad at all, only that this Noah's ark of the future does not appeal to me.
