| People may call the TV series a card commercial, and of course, it is, but this movie is certainly a far more blatant attempt to market the cards.

| This movie was average on Yu-gi-oh. It could have been a bit more longer, but the story worked really good.
I recommend this movie to those, who didn't get right into the series, because most of the people who have watched and liked the series find this movie a bit weird. Those who haven't watch the series(or first season) I recommend to watch the series first. I agree with those who think that this movie was weird mostly but I think that yu-gi-oh movie brings some new elements in the arena.
Yu-gi-oh movie has lots of different things compared to the series, like the story: The story isn't about yugi who has to win several matches to save his grandpa, friends etc. It's a story about a little boy named Shogo, who gets the legendary Red Eyes Black Dragon but haven't won a match yet. He ignores to duel, because he says that he is outstanding because he has the dragon, but he is lying to everybody. Shogo is really afraid of dueling because if he would lose having the legendary Dragon in his deck, everybody would laugh at him. The movie has a pretty interesting end. In the end Shogo finds the courage to duel by Yugis help.
Yu-gi-oh movie has very good scenes like the duel between Kaiba and Yugi. I think it's also a very good thing that they brought a new character in yu-gi-oh, because most episodes of the series includes the same characters. I find that sometimes pretty boring. Luckily the movie doesn't have the same kind of plot as the series, because I'm tired of listening yugis friends saying: "WE ARE RIGHT BEHIND YOU, BUDDY. WE'LL DO THIS TOGETHER." The movie has also got many bad things in it, like: WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE YUGI VERSES KAIBA? It is sometimes really anoying that yugi never duel anyone else but KAIBA. The other bad thing is that the sounds are fuckin lousy. Yu-gi-oh haven't ever got good sounds but these are the worst. There are also lots of bad blunders in the movie...
Animation of the movie was acceptable, I guess because Yu-gi-oh haven't ever got good animation and it has always been kind of a crappy. I hope that someday the animation will be sharp and clean but I think that it will take long time from the animator of yu-gi-oh.
The sounds are crappy. The series had really bad sounds, but the movie has made EVEN WORSE!!! The voice acting isn't so good either. Anyway, the movie doesn't have lots of music in it so it's kind of hard to review it.
The story worked fine and in some parts it's even marvellous. The story is light mix of drama and action and it works good.
The characters are mostly the same as in the series. Of course, yu-gi-oh movie has brought one new character in it but it doesn't add very much enjoyment to the movie. There are all the funny folks in it like Jonouchi.
The value of the movie is marvellous. In fact I think I'll go and watch the again. Yu-gi-oh movie will not be or weren't (I could say) a huge succesfull, but they're made good and clean work. It's only movie of yu-gi-oh around here and in future I hope that there will be more. Yu-gi-oh movie is worth of watching!!! :)

| I think this is the best of Yu-Gi-Oh! The movie is very good balance of action and drama, the duels are better here too. There are very interesting duels. I think it's a winner! Definitely watch it at least once!

| Well... I LUV the Manga, LIKE the Anime, DISLIKE the movie. It is weird, not original (Do we need to see another Yami VS Kaiba? nope.) And it doesn't sounds like a movie (30 minutes long movie? uh... ¬_¬;) And rather predictable... and something I found very weird is that... how on earth can Red Eyes fuse with a crappy monster and beat 3 BLUE EYES? ¬_______~;
