| YUA OVA is a fine anime in the form of a buddy cop show. The story offers nothing in terms of plot, but we are treated to an enjoyable 4 episodes that show Miyuki and Natsume begin their partnership and as partners do a few silly things that traffic cops really wouldn't do in reality. The awkward romance between Miyuki and Nakajima is sweetly touched up on. In the end, I was inspired to go right into the TV series that proceeds it.
This anime is carefully and craftily detailed. The machines, background enviroments, and especially the character designs are nicely done. The characters' hair flows with the wind and Miyuki's design as just beautiful.
I love the opening and ending themes and both Japanese and English dub casts lend themselves to outstanding performances. Akiko Hiramatsu was very surprising to hear as Miyuki when compared to other roles she's played (as in Azumanga Daioh & Ai Yori Aoshi).
It's a campy title for sure, and may be a hit or miss with different people but I enjoyed it a lot.

| Drama? Romance? Ich versteh ja noch das Comedy und Action hier als Genres gelistet sind aber mal im Ernst: Drama und Romance kann man das kaum nennen was in den 4 Eps geboten wird, denn was in den Richtungen gelaufen ist, ist so gut wie nicht nennenswert IMO. Wie auch immer, selbst die Action und die Comedy waren mir etwas zu spärlich gesät. Ein paar mal habe ich geschmunzelt aber das war eher die Ausnahme als die Regel und die Action war eher ziemlich lahm und konnte mich nicht im geringsten vom Hocker reissen. Story fand praktisch gar nicht statt und auch sonst ging mir alles etwas zu schnell. Das einzige was mich an diesem OVA überzeugen konnte waren die Charaktere die sehr liebenswert und sympathisch sind. Ich hatte mir ganz ehrlich mehr von diesem OVA versprochen.

| It's amazing how 4 episodes can make an anime actually good. The plot and everything wasn't the greatest and some of the situations seem unrealistic at times, but the two main characters Natsumi and Miyuki(Think Odd Couple, if anyone watches that show XD)make up for it. So don't go for it for the plot, but the character interaction makes up for it. I recommended it to some degree.
**note: The person that made this series is the same person that made "AA! Megami Sama," Fujishima Kousuke.

| I don't know if I'm just a closet Fujishima Kosuke fanboy or what, but I cannot dislike anything he's done.
I love You're Under Arrest.
I thought it was good when I watched s2 and the movie, but I think after finishing the OAV
I am now a self-proclaimed YUA fanboy.

| A fun, very lighthearted OVA, not one that you'd expect from a 'police anime'. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.
