| How many times have you seen various versions of Aladdin and the Lamp? It seems here that Disney wanted to take the lead and make a merchandise out of this magnificent story.
But in fact I never liked the Disney version. Thats because prior to that as a kid I had watched this version and found it very enchanting. Not as much as reading the actual story in the original but good nevertheless, even more when I saw this 15-20 years ago.
Now the graphics, the sets,the sound etc. hardly matter for this kind of show. It is aimed for kids and I'm sure that this version is also worth watching. If I have the chance to watch this again I'd do it only out of nostalgia. But for the children of the 80's like me it was one of the good animes that I thought then were cartoons. Well sadly I'm not a kid anymore but I'd recommend this to any child. But which child today would watch such oldies anyway. Those were the days...
